Test it - Ask the partner to stop playing SC and see if it holds up then. Also look at your ISP's upload stats mine crimps upload at 10 per cent of download speed.Sooo... semi-random question. I've been helping a friend troubleshooting why their older (i7-3200, 8gb RAM, onboard graphics card) laptop can't handle Zoom calls at home but can in the office. Difference is, they have a partner playing SC at home at the times they're Zooming. They're not on fiber but do have a really good ISP. Is SC using enough bandwidth to degrade the home network that much?
To be fair, he's complaining about subscriber flair in that thread...anyway, my fave reply in it...Whale blows tiny angry trumpet...

So everyone is going to build their own stations in the small number of systems around the small number of planets? Okay.
SCL gameplay is going to not be on the public servers (as Jared says - they're not good). Olli is driving it. I'm sure things will be flawless ...

Seems like a pretty pivotal moment in SC history and not for any good reasons…
4 player private shard, NPCs still teleporting, had to knock each other out to fix interaction menus, trouble moving inventory around, asking where a keycard was or if it was looted already not knowing it only shows up on extended inventory screen, Ikti's still skating around, entire twitch chat getting timed out, Jared re-iterating multiple times they're aware but accountability is the only way through this mess, acknowledge and fix it.
dont worry they are actively investigating all the problems they wont fix

You're expecting logic from a group of people who are convinced that full release, and numerous Game of the Year acolades, will be happening inWhy do commandos look so confused and surprised when their chariot randomly explodes, or an elevator/box/blue pixel, invisible thing splats them? It happens so often that it's hard to believe that they are taken by surprise so easily.![]()
This is more cringe than the Scott's Tots episode of The Office (US).Stream ends with a bug on the final boss and they have to stop. Everyone looks at each other and Jared says 'it's your show' to Ollie
But only half as funny as the Dinner Party episodeThis is more cringe than the Scott's Tots episode of The Office (US).
