Interesting, so now if Star Citizen fails NO ONE will get a refund. All the assets will be owned by Coutts & co, so there is nothing for the backers.
With CIG being a limited company, all CR's assets are safe.
Looks a bit dodgy to me.
The backers didn't own the assets before, and they don't now. Nothing has changed there. Refunds are only ever going to be available while the company is a going concern, and anyone who expects a refund if it fails has a pretty poor grasp of economics.
300,000 odd USD was spent yesterday
- The Hangar Module will feature Oculus Rift support.
Really? Oculus Rift support? I thought they ditched VR support?
Quality handbags are expensive!!!
Seriously though - where has all that money gone?
Even if they pay every person they have ever employed a minimum of $1000 a week, and they have 330 people, over 52 weeks and six years that's only just
shy of 103 million.
I'm guessing there are the mocap studios/sound studios they set up.

Totally agree with you here, but if the game fails and CIG still have assets then they would be obliged to liquidate them and attempt to give some compensation to backers.
Now if it all goes (boobies) up they can walk away with no hassle.
I bet Mark Hamill, Gillian Anderson and Andy Serkis don't come cheap either.
I so wished I'd screenshotted some of the comments 'cos some were really funny

Coutts are bankers to the %1ers of the world, they're by definition as bent as a 12 dollar bill. That thematic is normaly outside my league but i think its worth checking on.
There are alot of shellfirms and i doubt just because "CIG" is being loaned away it will probably not touch RSI or any other of their shellfirms.
You could try typing "Coutts" (without the quotes) into the Spectrum search box and see if it shows. I found a 15 reply thread on the matter. I don't know if it's the same one though.
