Starfield XBox Controller

I posted this a while back, but thought I would rephrase it and try again...
I have the Starfield themed Bluetooth XBox controller, but Elite doesn't see it. It sees my older Xbox ctrlrs and they work flawlessly, but when I try to use the SF one, I doesn't show the saved binding file that I use for the older ones. It is not a choice on the list. When I go back to the older ones, the choice reappears.
It worked fine with Starfield, of course (but do I really care??) and it worked fine with Star Citizen when I was wasting my time with that, but I would really like to use it with Elite.

So... has anyone here successfully used the SF controller with Elite?

My SF controller works fine with Elite - but I use it with a wireless dongle as I had intermittent issues with Bluetooth.

Got it working! Found a suggestion elsewhere to copy and paste the device ID into a copy of the binding file of my other controller. Worked like a charm!
I'd post a link, but I can't seem to find it again...

I blame it on the Dementia...
