'Load new ship hologram? [Yes / No]'

Seems the most likely to me ¯\(ツ)

Was that a joke, or you're reading that as "Load new ship [comma] commander?"

Essentially this yes.

It reads very easily that way to my eye. (Native english speaker). And doesn't read easily they way you're taking it. (IE "Load new ship commander" would be a weird way to say it, when "Load new commander" would do just fine.)

Could have some other function, sure. But a hologram interface would make sense just fine using that text.

Well it doesn't to me.. maybe i'm anchoring on one of the first hints that arthur dropped about odysee was to not shut down the question of multiple cmdrs.. remember? I think he told us some form of "no info yet".

Yeah maybe. I don't remember them saying anything concrete on that recently though. (Do you remember which stream?)

(Really not expecting it to happen though. Look at how many alt accounts people buy ;))

I was. Otherwise he / frontier would have just said no, not info later.

Sadly i don't, it was probably the very first stream where they gave odysee info. i think. Maybe the first dev diary? Was there anything before it? I didn't fully watch the first dev diary.... so can't confirm sorry.

What's strange about the prompt is none of the others address you as "commander" in text? Do they?

I hope it will be possible to disable annoying pointer dot in the center of the view field when not in combat.

Great start, I believe ED world is on it's road to something insanely fantastic and huge.

I kind of hope they don't make it so every cmdr has multiple characters. I hate that in games. being a multi in general seems like low key cheating to me. Or at least that's how I was introduced to it when I first started playing mmos. It was a bannable offense

Can someone provide feedback during the alpha they forgot to add head bob? Pretty sure it was unreal 1 that first did it, it was a real big deal at the time.
I hope tf they didnt add head bob or a way to turn it off, elite already has enough ways of making people motion sick :ROFLMAO: also weapon sway,if there needs to be optional

looking at the previews by OA and Yamicks the station does look pretty good, but again its pre-alpha so cant say until it goes live. lots of little glitches in animations still but 🤷‍♂️ we will see next week

One thing Yamicks brought up tho is, why is it yet another menu system, with different layouts and different colors? and if its in different colors then what cant we get a customisable hud color option? And why cant we get menus that all feel the same? It seems like the UI designers that made the ship UI, didnt make the carrier UI, didnt make the on foot UI and also didnt take notes from the earlier designs

The menu after menu after menu system is going to get old fast if thats whats going live - give 1 screen that refreshes instead of going down menu after menu.

I did note in the OP that there will be a terminal to get missions from instead of chasing down the mission giver NPC's, as if they spawn at different points in different stations that would get old real fast.

Anyway off to watch the vod of the livestream

Agreed to a point, as I said in my previous post, however having the legs combat missions separate makes sense, if you aren't going to be flying your ship to underatake a mission why have it as part of the ship menu, so having the Frontline stuff as a separate thing is good. I also think stuff like smuggling and assassination missions should only be available from a man sitting in a badly lit bar in a run down starport neighborhood and etc. Give him some atmosphere, smokey, pool tables, gambling, make it look like you are doing something illegal.

A terminal in the station does make sense for on foot missions, but having the menus being so different from the ship menus just seems bad design
