Summary
System: LP 339-7
Station: Gell-Mann Ring
(Orbis Starport, large pads available, 32 Ls from main star, 75.87 Ly from Sol)
Objective: Deiver mined Osmium, Samarium, Uranite, Monazite and Platinum

Time limit: 28th August 3305 @ 15:00 UTC

Description

The Starship Enterprises faction has issued a public request for mined resources.
SE Mining, a subdivision of Starship Enterprises, requires materials to construct a specialised installation in the LP 339-7 system. The proposed starport will serve as a departmental headquarters while also providing services to travellers in the region.
Dr Lewis Chapman, CEO of Starship Enterprises, announced:
There has long been a rift between our system’s prosperous inner worlds and the less wealthy outer gas giants. SE Mining will bridge this divide with a new asteroid base among the rings of the fourth planet, which will generate trade to benefit the entire system.
SE Mining has been the backbone of my company since its inception. It has seen us through hard times and continues to be one of the corporation’s most important assets. I believe a new base of operations is a fine way to reward the division’s hard work.
Independent pilots are asked to mine quantities of osmium, samarium, uraninite, monazite and platinum for delivery to Gell-Mann Ring in the LP 339-7 system.
The initiative will run from the 22nd to the 28th of August 3305. If the final target is met earlier than planned, the campaign will end immediately.
To be eligible for rewards you must sign up as an active participant before delivering mined Osmium, Samarium, Uranite, Monazite and Platinum to Gell-Mann Ring in the LP 339-7 system.
Be aware that faction-state changes and other disruptive events can negatively impact markets and station services, and could prevent the initiative from running smoothly.

Tier 8 target. = 1,320,000 tons of Refinery marked processed mined items... ( Not stolen, not purchased only mined and tagged by the onboard ship refinery items)...
Some one else can do the prices Im still out in WHN...

Also six visitor beacons in the system, about Elite history, for explorers and beacon collectors.

And if you want to go to a zoo, there is the "Earth's Inheriance Wildlife Reserve" on planet 4 A, with a "full of a variety of animals from Earths history, everything from birds of prey to humpback whales". 😀

Deep core mining type locations
Metal Rich, Rocky
Laser mining ring type locations
Metallic
Metallic, Metal Rich
Metallic, Metal Rich
Metal Rich, Rocky
If you can you want both deep core and laser mining on the same ship in a metal rich ring...

So, is it more a mining CG than a trading one? Sounds interesting.
Yep Only mining Items from the ship...
Pyhton builds for deep core and the odd laser mining for when you miss target the deep core rocks and get a dud.. ( profit over tons per hour...)
Anaconda/T9/T10/Cutter builds for high speed laser mining extraction focused. (Tons per hour over profit and ease of flying in the rocks...)

So got on the score board as I had to work out the route and if I need a fuel scoop or not or if I can carry more collectors instead coming back from WHN...

Do not need a fuel scoop after all. so I can carry extra collectors.... next trip...

hey everyone. I thought I would jump on here and say hello to all those wanting to get involved in our SE mining event.
I see you guys are very organized and have all the prices sorted already :)
you may have noticed that one of these materials is much more expensive than the rest; Monazite is a deep core material and can net you really nice profits, if you can find it ofc!
Platinum is also a deep core material but can also be found the old fashioned way.

All of these materials can be found in the inner ring of planet 4 in LP 339-7. There are two Monazite hot spots to be found here, one of which has a -high- RES attached to it, for those of you who really want a challenge.

If you are going solely for the money I would focus on Osmium, Platinum and Monazite. Personally I just mine everything.

Thankyou Kryxix for pointing out some of the interesting things in LP 339-7, there are also a couple of megaships that visit and some structures in the outer system where you can often find cool encounters. I enjoy protecting the trade ship around Whitson (planet 3) from marauding pirates.

Finally, for those peeps that, like me, play on the Xbox. I will be organizing some SRV races at the race track around Scott Beacon, most likely on tue or wed on my days off. Everyone is of course welcome.

Cheers for participating everyone. I hope we can get this CG completed

I've re-rigged my ExploraConda to a Core-A-Conda with full mining toolset, found a fairly remote handful of systems to dig around in, delivered my first load of 224 tons , exactly half of which was CG-worthy thanks to a deep-core Monazite rock I stumbled across near the end of my run. The region was flagged by the DSS as a Platinum hotspot but that only made up the lower fraction of my haul, found many more cored rocks for other minerals. Takes a long time particularly if one is doing surface, subsurface and laser mining as well, but it's kind of a zen thing to wander through the rings blowing stuff up. Now in Top Ten (not the first time but almost) so I hope we do get at least Tier 1.

No hotspots in system for anything other than Monazite which appears to be mined out? Only found 2 rocks in 1.5 hours. I have not had any luck in nearby systems.

I remember that system, one of my passengers wanted a detour.
The number of tourist beacons made me rise my eye brows. ;)

Found a decently populated Monazite hotspot within single-jump range for my 'Conda, for 195T out of 224T delivered this a.m., close to 70mil for the total payload, back tonight if possible. We'll get Tier 1 for sure.

Later on: Now @ 520T delivered and my bank is back up over 1B (after buying & outfitting a Corvette warship so my 'Conda doesnt get scratched). Lotsa booms in my sky, may try a video tomorrow.

Forgot how stupid painite rocks won't stop showing up when you don't want them in metalic rings... boo... don't count for the CG but to expensive to throw away...

I've been hitting nearby metal-rich rings instead of metallic and farming the lower-value junk with Laser Mining rather than going for the expensive stuff like Platinum, though I've got a couple Platinum hotspots bookmarked if I decide to switch to Core Mining for a while.
