Newcomer / Intro Start anew ?

I've been playing the solo version to get the hang and feel of the game, prior to get emerged in the MMO part, and I'm proud to say I made a mess in my first attempt Is it possible to start over ? I can't seem to find an option for purging my character. Thanks!

Clear save in the menu options.

I'm thinking of restarting to. I'm doing Ok but I feel I could do better with a fresh start. Or, maybe I just need to get back in my sidewinder and fly into the sun?
