EDIT: my whole rant gets a little bit silly when I learn that MC commanders can use FSS too (not only DSS)
As vague and blend as exploration mode in multicrew was prior 3.3, it is now even more tedious. While before 3.3 there was nothing to do for multicrew commanders when I was moving through the systems - things were going pretty smooth for them - few jumps, I was quickly finding some cool planets or planet configuration with nice view and was going there for whole crew to enjoy it. Now after every jump my crew is going to stare at the main star for 5 or more minutes while I use FSS to uncover anything worthwhile for us to see. Good thing is they are at least going to earn exploration money while I do this (Im still not sure if this is a thing) and getting first discovered tags. While main thing for them to do will be using mapping probes - after an hour with exploration yesterday I already can tell that mapping is not going to be something I do often - there is actually no point to map other than to earn more credits. If I want to explore (and money is not main purpose of me exploring) it is still going to be 10 times slower than it was before 3.3 - flying toward the planets makes even less sense now as you can check every planet through FSS and going there in person does not give me any more data - so same as before 3.3 I will go toward a planet only to see some nice views. What do you guys think about it? Am I the only one enjoying inviting other CMDRs to explore with me just for the joy of exploration?
Still cant understand why it is so important to not populate System Map with anything after the honk. FDev should at least consider going back to this forgotten feature to make things a little bit smoother for non-$$$ explorers - https://imgur.com/a/3vOKIDj
TLDR: exploration multicrew after 3.3 makes less sense than before 3.3.
