Elite / Frontier Station Citizen Award?

I wonder if anyone out there can help me on this one. No one I know has encountered this, and I'm beginning to doubt my sanity - well more than usual anyway..

I was playing Elite on the Speccy and, as I often did back then due to dodgy tape loading, I left my computer on overnight, once safely docked somewhere (can't remember where now) When I got up in the morning there was a screen which I have never saw before or since.

Essentially I had been awarded a certificate by the Mayor(?) of the station for being the longest resident there or something similar. I can only guess due to the fact I was sat in dock over night... :S

So, that's my basic query.. did I imagine this? Am I mad?

Can't say I ever seen anything about a special screen about staying on the station. could try using a spectrum emulator and see if it happens again.
