"Routine scan, none of my scan alerts are activated, it seems like one more system on the route to "Station X" that I am heading to to verify if I can sell my biological data.
I was already counting down to make the jump when I hear the typical sounds of an aquatic planet. I say to myself... how strange that I didnt see it, I'm getting old
I check the system map and there is none... so why has that aquatic world sound popped?
The closest planet is a landable with 2 biological signals, I would have ignored them in other conditions, but I was curious. I usually ignore bacteria unless the planet is interesting, so I go straight for the second species.
It's weird, yes, maybe it's the first time I've seen it, but are the sounds activated by these species? Anyway I then go around to see if there is something more interesting.
This planet hits hard on my GPU, and yet it has no special orography or rock formations, something is happening, there is "something" but I can't find what it is.
The plant form is quite wide spread over the surface, I think that this is maybe the reason for the graphic stuttering. I do not give it more thought, I am convinced of my own explanation and I go for the ship.
I get on the ship, but I do not leave the planet, I still have a strange feeling.
I fly low, observing how the terrain color circle changes in the vicinity of the ship. This white, snowy planet hides something.
In the distance I see a color change, it is not like the close range terrain graphic anomaly. This is not in the vicinity of the ship, it is close but I am not the epicenter, I decide to land to see if I see something at ground level.
And yes, there is definitely something I can't describe, it's the first time I've seen it. It looks like something like a frozen lake. I guess it's just a visual effect caused by the color combinations.
Anyway, still not completely convinced, I decide to get closer in low flight and very slowly, sure enough, my FPS slow down.
And there it is, it looks like a frozen lake, it is not just color variation.
I land, I can't pass this up, I didn't know we could find these things.
When getting closer with the SRV it is already quite clear to me that it is a frozen lake.
Even the tracks of the SRV make it very clear, it looks like that the ice is melting in its path.
In fact I have the feeling that the ice may crack and sink the SRV or the ship.
I take the opportunity to take a walk around the lake, the wheels slide and skid on the ice.
I find some bacteria in the same lake, one more reason to keep going around until I get the 3 different biological samples.
Nothing else remarkable, but glad to have found something different.
I get the 3 samples and head back to the ship to continue my journey.
Each planet I see contains some secret, you just have to discover it. o7"
Dear CMDRs! Can I ask you not to chase likes and not to post screenshots in separate messages one after another? You can also, like some respected pilots, post them in one message. Or please explain to me why you are doing this?
