Steps needed to join another ship

Hi,

Can someone please explain the steps needed to join another ship?

Under the 'Activity' text, all options are disabled.

I am based in NZ, am am not currently at a space station when trying to join another ship.

Well, you have to be in open (duh!) but otherwise it should work. Weird. Is your internet fast enough?

So long as youre in open, or in a PG with people then going to activity should allow you to search for ships looking for crew.

Failing that a freind in the same Open/PG can invite you directly

Being in NZ should be no issue

Here are a few questions:
  2. If I am in an Anaconda, does the search for another ship look for an Anaconda?
  3. Has the instancing issue been fixed. I.e can an NZ player join a ship from a UK player?
  4. In the beta 1, there was a number next to the type of ship to join with the number of available ships, is this part of the multi crew release?
  5. Does the power that you are aligned with have any bearing on the ships that can be joined?
  6. Does your wanted status or current bounties have any bearing on the ships that can be joined?

1.No; just anyone who has sleected "looking for crew" in that category
2. Seems to I have joined US players from NZ at least
3. Seems not
