Storing cargo...

I would also like to be able to store some things.

As would I. But, since we currently can't, any Modular Terminals I receive right now, I deliver immediately to that engineer guy (I forget his name).

I was thinking that maybe if people really wanted something like this because if maybe they did something like a subscription base so help pay for the extra servers they would need to compensate for this. That way people that really truly want this could pay up. But I don't have any ideas on how it would go for if you stopped paying for it though, didn't really that far:S

Well it'd probably happen like in the multitude of other MMOs out there - you are locked out of your paid-storage, and your items in it are thus unavailable to you until you pay again.

No extra servers would be needed. A database to house a trillion player stocked products could be supported on one of the existing servers, inventory load in terms of storage and retrieval efficiency is very low. Items are merely represented by a number and a quantity in a basic table.

I expect their reasoning will have to do with the ability to potentially game the bgs by stockpiling. But of course I have to say that I would find that less immersion breaking than the current situation where I can't even store my own stuff in my own parked t9. Harumph.
