Greetings commanders, and welcome to the biggest journey of all times.

Inspired by the Distant Worlds 3302 Expedition last year, many pilots of our French community, EDFR, expressed the wish to reach one of the furthest systems from Sol, Beagle Point.

That’s why this year EDFR organizes, in partnership with the Wing Atlantis, the Summer Great Expedition.

Reach Beagle Point won’t be easy, you will have to put a strain on your courage and tenacity. However, with the engineers you are now able to drastically reduce the number of needed jumps, and, you won’t be alone.
We have selected several waypoints along the expedition for their lore or beauty to gather the fleet. In addition, tankers, medical frigates and security ships will escort us to ensure your safety.

Actually, the fleet will part in two distinct groups after the second waypoint. The first one will head to Beagle Point while the second will aim to Sagittarius A*.

The way back is free, some will come further, some will return directly, but here are the waypoints we have planned for the volunteers. The dates still need to be determined :

Please keep in mind that most of us are French speakers, so the major part of the communications will be in French. However, everyone is welcome to join our expedition and for those who don’t speak French some of us will translate the main news and discuss on a separate discord channel. If you’re not afraid by an approximated English we look forward to meeting you and we’ll do our best to integrate you in the fleet.

OK honestly I've never been there. But I don't find this well-trotten dirt track very engaging anymore.

Yep. If you back out to the parent sub forum and hover over the post you can still read at least the first few opening lines of the original. The OP just joined the forums and posted on the newcomers thread so he's getting the moderation silent treatment to make sure he isn't spam.

Ahhh...
I would enjoy flying with you guys (French here/Français) but I am already participating in another expedition (Small Worlds Expedition 2) that is departing soon too. Too bad it happens at the same time...

Im not a French speaker but have signed up on the roster. I need a good explore. I was on DW but am happy to rejoin you again on a revisit to BP and make some new friends.

Excuse me I was wrong in the date of departure on the main post it is the 28 of May and not the 25 of May. I just corrected that. :D
