Support for Razor OSVR HDK2?

I see that this revised OSVR HDK2 is being released sometime this month for $400. It has the same specs as the Rift CV1 and Vive.

I'd love to know if it will be properly supported by Elite before I go for it.

If it uses openvr then it is supported.

openvr is directly in elite so it shouldn't be, though I can't say with any certainty, hopefully someone with more experience will reply.

doesn't the vive also use openVR? that would make anything for the vive on steam available to those with the OSVR, sans hand controllers though.
