Recently I was sent around the Galaxy on one of those "Go do this task" messages, which I duly completed, and was sent somewhere else in the Galaxy to "Get my Reward".
Two Problems:
1. Trying to find specific co-ordinates on a Planet while in Orbital Cruise is just about impossible and dropping down to Real Space if you overshoot (which you will invariably do) takes ages to motor back. Very Boring!
If I can "Lock on" to a Base that exists, can you either create that Base so I can land there for these Missions, or at least give me a way of setting my own Landing Co-ordinates so I can then get into the Scarab and go looking for it?
2. After being re-directed elsewhere for my "Reward" I was sent to a Base that was more than 100,000Ls from the Primary (took a very long time to get there) only to find out it had SMALL Landing Pads ONLY and I had a MEDIUM Ship! I had to Jump away, buy a small ship and go back - NOT FUN!
If I can land on a Planet surface in ANY Ship, AND I can drive around in a Scarab, WHY cannot I enter a Base in the Scarab to collect my rewards or trade the limited cargo in my Scarab?
If I am completing some Mission or delivering Data, there should be some way to do this. Since a Scarab only has two (?) Cargo Slots, I will not be rorting the system by Trading. Now, you might argue that I should have checked where the Base was and what Landing Pads it had BEFORE I went, but you could easily have put it into the Message sending me there.
I am not a Die Hard Elite player - I play for fun. If I want to spend 30 minutes doing NOTHING except hoping I do NOT get Interdicted - let ME chose to go to the Base that is a Stupidly long way out from the Primary. And why couldn't my Reward have been left at the local Base Office like all other Bounties, Fines and such like.
Finally - 100,000 Ls is 27.78 Light HOURS. Surely there could be a way to Micro-Jump this distance? After all, I am jumping between Stars.
I don't mind spending time on this game, but give me the opportunity to spend some Quality time please.
