SweetFX

I'm getting a 'Sweetfx files cannot be found on selected folder' when trying to set up the root location for Sweetfx in Radeon Pro. I'm using the 1.5.1 (sekta's) files as pointed to by FullMetalBukkit. Anyone know what I'm doing wrong?

I've also tried to create a new profile in Radeon Pro, which runs with the elite launcher (edlaunch.exe). Is that correct?

edit: ah, I just downloaed the 1.4 version and that seems to work I think.. will test

Sekta's should work for RadeonPro, try selecting the folder above.

As for the exe, i found it was best to profile the actual elitedangerous.exe and then radeonpro will trigger automatically. Make sure you get the right one as they've moved where the game installs the game exe with various patches

Hi guys, here are my settings I'm using. Not sure how to post a screen shot though.

The difference is sharper colours, darker blacks and more bloom from lights. When you visit a star you get a lot more light emitting from it at the cost of being able to see some of the detail as the light bloom is blocking it out.

If someone can tell me how to post a screenshot I'd be happy to.

good job man, made a HUGE difference in the rift, HUGE!! nice 1 brother

Ive tried 1.4,1.5 and the 64bit version but i cant get it to work. All files in the ED launcher folder.

Ive run it with no AA and fullscreen off but no good. Its loading the game but im not getting any change when Scroll lock is pressed.

If you have windows 8.1 you need the latest version of sweetfx.

Found the problem. Was in the wrong location to place Sweet fx files.

Had to locate appdata/local folder where the .exe file was.

Looking sweet now.

Not the solution you were looking for but...

The SweetFX guys are working on a new version that has a new hook named "ReShade". It's supposed to be compatible with all D3D versions going back to D3D8 and also supports OpenGL games. It's currently in closed beta, but it's supposed to work rather well.
The currently official thread on Guru3D is here: http://forums.guru3d.com/showthread.php?t=381912&page=80
Look out for users Crosire (who is doing ReShade) and CeeJay.dk (who's building SweetFX around it).

There's also a subreddit:

Maybe Frontier could add another colour mode. Only thing I want basically is less saturation and a tiny bit less red more blue.. only a tiny amount

like here (did this in GImp)

or here even less change - but its enough for me

I made a video with only 80% colouring

would be cool to have this as an option - lore wise this could be different glasses for the cockpit, or sunglasses you can put on as a pilot..

According to CeeJay.dk, closed beta of the ReShade based SweetFX is going well and a public beta could happen soon. Let's see what's first: E:D release or the new SweetFX public beta

The official SweetFX only supports DX9 games at the moment. There are other injectors though that you can find to make SweetFX work with DX10 and 11 games, but the "official" support for such games is still a bit away.

With RadeonPro and via SweetFX 1.4 it works like a charm. I even modded the main.h file in order to make a Oculus DK1/Durovis Dive/Cardboard oculus 3D shader that modifies the SBS mode in order to make it full Oculus-like.

Will post more details when I clean up my codebase...

FYI: here is the current state of my shader:

FOV = 90

Fov = 12.5 using my zoom mod prototype that I am working on in order to be able to see GUI elements while using either an old DK1 oculus, or a low-res cardboard rift lookalike...
