SweetFX

I actually didn't use any of the Reshade specific features. I downloaded the package that includes SweetFX and just used the settings there. I can upload my installation if needed tomorrow.

Strange. Did the same thing, run the ReShade Setup and play the game. The plugin is loading fine but on left half of screen is elite game in a blurry way and the right half is black. Using radeonPro and SweetFX runs fine but I don`t want to use 3rd app.

Did you really install the ReShade version that includes SweetFX? What you describe surely sounds like the pure ReShade version (made this mistake myself at first).

For anyone having trouble installing the Reshade + SweetFX 2.0 beta, my settings video has installation instructions in the video description:

The version I used for this video was actually ICO_hr's ReShade config he shared on the forum some time ago. ReShade + SweetFX 2.0 seems to have broken the bloom effect as light no longer bleeds, just makes them a bit brighter. Unless I'm doing something wrong... Which is likely.

So, I've read through this (and never have used sweetfx, and failed trying to use it with GW2) I don't know what I should be installing. I have windows 8.1 64x. I'm still toying with the combat demo and will be buying/downloading ED soon, so I'm trying to figure out

1.) What I'm installing
2.) Where I'm installing as if I put it in my C:\program files\
3.) Profiles people are using. I don't mind editing my own, I'll just have no idea what I'm doing. Would at least like something to mess with from a starting point.

All the help is appreciated, sorry I suck.

It seems that only version 1.4 of Sweetfx works, bad luck since is nowhere to be found on the web. Reshade keeps crashing and doesnt load either. Windows 8.1 here and it seems its against this software.,

Seem to me that sweetfx mainly makes the difference that 'warm' colors usually have compared to 'neutral' or 'cool' colortemperatur, would be nice if there was an option for this, since I prefer neutral myself, but yeah when you look at the difference between them its like without its 'warm' but with sweetfx its 'cool', so yeah an ingame way of changing this would be nice with neutral included.

I'm contributing my SweetFX profile here as well.

Since I can't take screenshots in game using SweetFX (because it saves pictures in DDS), I will just describe it and then you can test it yourself.
Also, does not work with Fraps, because it uses the same D3D hook for some reason.

(This is a preset taken for Skyrim then edited. No ReShade, just old plain SweetFX)
(Includes my renamed graphics xml for ED if you're curious)

The change is small but subtle.
A slightly increased color using vibrancy settings. (Like the difference between Mass Effect 2 and 3)
A subtle sharpen to make things feel crisp and clear.
A small Chromatic Aberration to make the game feel seen through a quality lense (Very small effect). (The effect is best seen when using the ship lights against a metal surface)
Contrast curve adjustment to remove the gray filter feel of the game.
No AA (I'm a 90s kid, I played games without AA before you were born). Can be activated but counters the lumasharpen a little bit.
(I also use no AA in game)
No vignette, bloom or other crazy effects used, this is a small graphics change.

The change is small when toggled, but it makes the game feel so much vivid.
Performance? Unnoticeable change on the FPS counter in game when you toggle it.
Also works with f.lux.
Use with high texture setting and all effects activated.
Rift users may contribute their opinion on it since I do not know how it looks using Rift.

Enjoy.
