Systems Outside the Bubble

great list! appreciated!

i think "Pratchett's Disc" (254, -39, 278) should be in this list, too - and maybe jaques, (-170, -133, 40).

Is it possible to put coordinates into the galactic map in such a way as to take you to that region, rather than by system name? Just being curious

no.

but sometimes, if you have a mispelling in your noted systems, coordinates might help to find the system again :)

Which one is closest to the core, and does it have repair/outfitting facilities?

i think your question leads to this (safe harbour list for explorers): https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php?t=164893,

but from the list above quince and pratchetts disc are closest to the core, and have outfitting/repair.

but really, if you are talking about explorer distances, the difference is minor. more important will be your reputation with the factions represented. and that is what jaques is great for - only one faction, his own, and once you are allied, even pirates don't attack you returning from your trip (downside: you don't have a shipyard, so no changing ships).

Thanks!
(Doing a quick "BRB" from DW for repairs)

Much thanks! Handy list. I was thinking to drag my newly acquired conda outside the bubble, or to the edgeto run missions and generally dink around.. but hadn't got around to figuring out which systems had large landing pads. The one regret about selling off the Python. In any case, this narrows my search for a new base of operations down substantially.

There's a Pratchetts disc? I need to go there.

I think it's called "Pratchett's City" (outpost). I went there once, for Terry's fond memories. Not much there. Also, I don't think it's near the edge of the bubble - unless there's also a "Pratchett's Disc", in which case D'OH!

There's definitely a Pratchett's Disc somewhere. It's a station.

there is also a pratchett's disc. and that is outside the bubble. i think pratchett city, orbital, plant, hub, gateway, vision, port, pbservatory, enterprise are also ingame. but only pratchett's disc is ruled by the ankh guards :)

Thanks for all the accolades and Forum reps!

I like this list but do they all have high paying missions like in the millions?

Some of these systems can provide serious increases in credits, Trade, Explorer and Military ranks. By now we all know about ROBIGO. Another well known example is ADITI if you're wanting to increase your Empire rank to get a Clipper or Cutter. Others like COL 285 SECTOR BB-O C6-10 is a dead end with one planetary base and no docking pads or facilities. As it is on the chart that is one place a player won't waste time looking for missions. The are also "Easter Eggs" (...hint CEOS) if you look for them. The list simply gives you the system data to assist in obtaining your goals.

I'm flying around in an Asp checking the data and already moved up a Trade rank selling Cartographics. Probably the only player who ever went to ROBIGO and didn't take some missions!

Regards

No. However name searches will try to find a system with the data input. Say you are looking for a system you thought was LTT 8367 but it doesn't come up. Enter LTT 83 and the system will search for LTT 8300, LTT 8301, LTT 8302...could take awhile.

It would be nice if the coordinates were always displayed on the Galaxy Map in the corner so that we could watch them change as we zoom across the galaxy. Frontier Elite II had this. For now I would settle for a coordinates color change on the grid so that I can see them!

If you are talking about the Galaxy Core 32,000LY away then none. If the bubble then there are several depending upon where you are now. Generally any player in the bubble should find a system within 250-300LY of their position. Stations and some outposts and planetary bases will always have facilities. The list provides their locations.

Robigo is now empire, not independent.

I was there a few hours ago checking data. It has more Independent factions than the single Empire and is still listed as Independent. The BB talks about the war is over and Sirius Corp won. Meanwhile there are lots of high paying missions. CEOS and SOTHIS cater to the Federation.

Updated four of the six systems in the ROBIGO area. Moving on...Note if a system doesn't show a Black Market that could mean it hasn't been checked yet.

You sure about that?
According to my galaxy map BETA-1 TUCANAE is nowhere near Alliance space.
.
Oh, and I notice Maia is not on the list.

No, it's in Empire space...not understanding your Alliance comment. Thanks for the MAIA tip.

HIP 74290 / Pratchett's Disc is on the list but I don't have any confirmed station data yet.

Asp Explorer note: Given combat in some remote systems I went for the A5 shield and A3 fuel scoop. Big mistake as the scoop is very slow taking up to a minute just to top off. Should have swapped them with the A3 shield and A5 scoop. Of course the outlying systems only sell an E1 scoop. Darn those Devs! Luckily I was near Takurua which had both. :)

Note to Explorers: Binding the Galaxy and System maps to a toggle switch on my controller brings them up a lot faster as well as instantly exiting them.
