T10 Getting Class 7 Power Distributor

I saw the patch note, but am already confused what to do with the bigger distro. I love HazRes mining and combat in my T-10, but I am not sure a larger distro will change anything.

It would only really come into its own for a full complement of battle weapons (especially power hungry lasers). Exploring, mining etc. won't need it.

One of the biggest impacts is being able to recharge your shield faster, especially if you go with a large biweave. That, and have more flexibility with what sort of weapons you use.

Good news, although I have been murdering wanted npcs with ease using a charge enhanced dist. A charge enhanced class 7 will let me get more creative with loadouts

I don't know, the C6 distributer kept me very vigilant about keeping 4 pips in shields. If I didn't, the cap would empty in seconds.

Still, I'm very happy with this.

I only have one mining laser in my mining build, and I usually make more off bounties (mining in the middle of a HazRes and all) than I do ore. :D

I've been running C7 biweaves, two c3 gimballed beams, two c1 rails, and two c3 pulses / two c2 multis, both turrets. I don't think the larger distro will actually change that. Still wouldn't want to swap the turrets to beams, because the upgrade isn't big enough to support that. I can't really put anything bigger for the beams or rails. I guess I could swap the turreted pulses for gimballed multicannons maybe...

Not complaining, a buff is a buff I guess, just not sure it's gonna change anything for me.

Gah!

I spent hours figuring out how to max out the DPS of my T10 while also working within the parameters of the PDist.
Now I'll have to do it all again. [mad]

Still, I was never going to use the T10 for hunting 'goids. It was too expensive for that.
Now, at least, it can become a proper "combat ship" instead and I'll buy a shiny new Chieftain for 'goid-hunting.
Looks like it's going to be perfect for that job.

I disagree. I found that thing to be wildly disappointing, and fairly pointless. Looks neat, though, and has a beast ofa bridge.

Clearly

You're doing it wrong.

But that's why there are so many different ships - for so many different people.

I find the Beluga to be insanely fun - a huge ship that maneuvers like a medium ship, packs a (no pun intended) whale of a punch (ok, I lied about the pun, that was done on porpoise), looks and sounds great (I know, I did it again, bare with me, I'm urchin to get through this), has the largest fuel tank of any ship available at 128 tons, and can take on pretty much any role from Exploration to Combat - people have even taken Thargoids solo in these, so it really is a worthy contended, if your the right pilot to fly it. Give it some time, it will grow on you, like a barnacle (just squidding, or maybe knot!).

Meanwhile the Type-9 has been promised buffs since forever....
