Hardware & Technical TEAMSPEAK - Privacy concerns..? VoxComms software recommendations?

Greetings, Commanders..

I'm aware that many people are already using either TeamSpeak or Discord (or other software) for VoxComms within the game (eg for Wings etc).

This next bit of news goes back to October:

.. but should we still be concerned, for using TeamSpeak?

Aside from TeamSpeak and Discord, are there any other recommendations?
(I don't think of Skype for this kind of purpose; any Skype users USE AND recommend it??)

... and then, recommendations for OVERLAYS to show who's speaking..?

That security hole had an emergency hotfix within a week of that news article. The current version should be good against that vuln.
