Ok, that's pretty neat. congratulations too for the find! you have done everyone here a huge favour! :)

so nobody was home right? they just let you drive on their turf without a care in the world? kinda funny hehe.

Maybe if I launched a class 4 PA bolt down the rabbit hole we might stir the hornets nest hehe

This is not my work, I'm only spreading the word (it's well known by now).

CMDR CookieJarvis wasn't alone on the base. Small creatures/ships were patrolling in the base. They would puke some green corosive stuff at you, nothing too dangerous.

Do as you wish with those creatures. Just remember what Ed said, the future of this relationship with Thargoid will be determined by our actions :p

At the risk of ing of the Thargoids, shooting up the scavengers results in lots of unknown data and materials. they respawn rather quickly to. I must have scanned about a dozen uplinks, some in and around the main structure and many more spaced rather equally around the outer walls above the main structure.

The non basic organic structures often resulted in some selenium as well.

Vas.

CMDRS have found another base, one much more alive.
In this one they found some interesting structures, in which they placed 1 Unknown artifact, 1 Unknown probe, 1 Unknown link.
When these 3 items were placed, the structure displayed a galaxy shaped arrangment of lights.

I don't mean to be "That Guy" but I have a feeling that this 'Base' is actually a Thargoid Starship that's currently under going construction.

Hello CMDR's

This is truly amazing. I'm just really amazed at how certain CMDR's are able to find these sites. Having explored many planets myself, and followed all the tid-bits of info I can find while exploring, I have found absolutely nothing myself. I spend countless hours circling planets as close as I can get, and I don't see a thing from orbit, regardless of how close. I then spend countless hours in flight above the planet and circle again, nothing. So, without taking away anyone's fame and glory, these CMDR's seem to be having some, let's say, amazing and serendipitous luck.

As with our own intelligence services, insider information or leaks are always possible, but given my own efforts in locating new undiscovered sites (not PIO's), I'm either really, really, really bad at it, or my luck does not measure up to those making discoveries. Either they are geniuses for taking disprate scraps of info and hundreds of mindless hours of searching, to find these things, or they have connections somewhere. I would like to think these things are being discovered by the normal average players of Elite, but I am more inclined to believe Frontier, or those close to Frontier, may have hijacked the game from us, rewarding a small group, lucky or smart enough, to isolate the major discoveries for themselves and Frontier.

Did we build and fund Elite for the players at large, or for Frontier and a small group of Elite.

This more than spoils the game for me, as I am just a normal player, not interested in in-depth and calculating game play beyond what is present in the game. What is the point of exploring if you can't or don't find anything of importance, because someone with special knowledge hidden from the average player, has found it first?

Takes any challenge out of the game for me.

Be well
