Thargoid encryption?

Has any deciphered the code you see in the HUD when you have a Thargoid locked? Looks a little like Octal code, but it looks jibberish. Was thinking there's a ceasar shift pattern somewhere or another layer of encryption, but unsure. Anyone else got any ideas?

Yes, it's being looked at in the Aliens subforum (https://forums.frontier.co.uk/forumdisplay.php/217-Aliens). Apparently it's an octal coded reference to the original Elite.

Yep, from what has been decoded:

It seems this is from our ship's computer, not from Thargoids.

Its a reference to the old classification for Thargoid vessels from the Elite '84 manual. We must have some legacy software on board
