quite possible, but surely there are more polite ways to get my attention, maybe write a letter or send a pm.

as for the that debate on adams theory of life, i would have to say 42 is life, the universe, and everything. for anything else just use a towel

Lol, & then I come swooping in, in my FDL & scoop him out from the tractor beam! :D. Which btw I have actually managed once, (but just once, usually they go pop! :(), wish I'd videoed it!

Interesting, unfortunately I can't help you, I have an FDL & a Python, the FDL hull's too weak & the Python's too slow, but besides that I am non aggressive to Thargoids at this stage (well, aside from occasionally ramming them when I get annoyed with them for taking an escape pod! ;)).

So, I was doing Palin's Mission, Collected 3 thargoid Resin and an TS, guess what? Hyperdicted, scanned and killed after 30 seconds, I dropped a Meta-Alloys and a TS for them.

Yep, I've dropped an MA after I aggro'd them but before they attacked, & they left me alone. Maybe it's too late by the time they attack you?

Boosting away got me away from them in the 1st 2.4 Hyperdiction I had.

Guess that's old news but I have not seen it mentioned, so what I discovered right now in a NHS5:

* Collector Limpets are stronger then Thargoid beams!

While the Thargoid already had engaged his tractor beam with the escape pod I fired my collector drone and, low and behold, it was succesful at bringing the escape pod home! The Thargoid was following my salvage with it's beam until it reached my hold.

The Thargoid (2E-1 type) went agressive after I have collected that escape pod.
