Thargoid invasion - Next target systems?

For a long time I thought Matrix systems was just a synonym for spire sites. Apparently not. What does one do at a matrix system as they appear to just be not yet grown spires. Just find random flowers to squash?

No, they are the same—unless something has changed! If you have found new Thargoid Barnacle Matrix signals in more Control systems than the original 45 listed at the top, definitely begin a list of them.

Otherwise, Matrix was simply the name by which INIV referred to them after update 16, needed because we had to classify them differently despite the Galaxy map insisting they were normal Control systems and persisting with the claim that destroying Thargoids would help in some way. Frontier would not give them a special name and colour, so we did!

As with Maelstrom versus Titan, one does not simply change the name and hope the existing name stops appearing. Peripheral progress was also a good term given that there were two ways to cause it at one point, although these days Spire progress seems quite fine, but since update 18.06 apparently Frontier wants us to say spread pushback instead!

If they are as they were in update 16, there is nothing to be done! The system progress freezes until it becomes a Spire site.

Guys, I got pretty hooked on this AX stuff. Has there been any hint what'll be after we kill the last Titan? Are we to mothball all these ships & equipment, or the Anti-Xeno business will continue in some free-hunt mode or something?

Both us and them invested a lot in this, it would be idiotic and most annoying if they say "that's it, folks".

There have been hints the Thargoid content will continue to exist past the Titans, but we don’t know in what form yet.

For closing AXCZ zones I get 1st class and 20 items of materials and 2nd class and 10 items of materials.
Is there 0 class and 30 items of materials ?

As a recent arrival to all this AX thingy (been away from the game for years) I have a simple statement:

I am sitting at Galiano's Claim in Ixbaksha, defending that ground port from Invasion from Raijin, in Krait II armed with Azimuth Shards & AX Multis & Beam Thermal Vent, as a loner in Open with plenty of other random Commanders - and I'm enjoying this very very much!

Thank you all here who guided me for the last few months with advices on how & what & where.

Have the Orthrus hunters all gone to Cocijo now?
There's no sabotage missions at the Rescue ship and Raijin's spire seems to be really crawling now, ~8%/day

8%/day is still about twice as fast as all Cocijo's spires combined, so probably not just that people are doing different spires. Could have been a difficulty rebalance since that certainly puts the total spire progress at ~100% per week rather than the recent ~200%, or could be that people are doing something else entirely.

Well Cocijo is at least offering missions. Saturday night at Peg KC-U B3-4 on my own was somewhat odd.

Aegis were already telling us to not be complacent since the destruction of Hadad. Maybe they would like to ask their “special advisor” Seo for her opinion?

Because if Thargoids be plotting, surely she knows a thing or two about it.

Will be curious to see how Frontier go about it without undoing the existing work at Raijin… (not sure whether anything should be expected of the Taranis remnants that continue to hang on)

No one will expect them to try the same plan that failed on 24 previous occasions!
