Thargoid invasion - Next target systems?

Wonderful; well done to SNPX!

Col 285 Sectors TH-B b14-7 and TH-B b14-7 are collected, and we are moving now into SH-B b14-5, which will take a touch longer than the others but should help to starve M. Hadad of one of its empty-system Alerts next cycle.

It seems like this “war” is mainly being fought by probing the Thargoids to death. What a strange way to wage a war..
Thargoid High Command - "Report on the condition of the human forces."

Thargoid Scout - "Well, their warships, they kill some of us, we kill some of them, that's ok, that's war. And their soldiers, we kill them, they kill us, that's fine too, but those dermatologists are just nasty! Total psychos! They run up to you, rip bits off you and run away! What the hell's the matter with these people?"

The technical term is "probinated" for what is being done to Tharg at the moment!
It's much faster now that we know how exactly much probinating needs to be done.
We can gardyloo the excess tonnage and froonce back to port rather than getting too ramfeezled and have to latibulate in the carrier bar.

Victories in Bumbo, Col 285 Sectors FU-H b10-0, CA-E b13-1, SH-B b14-5, TH-B b14-1, TH-B b14-7 and KA-G b11-4, and HIP 28913! That becomes a quite lovely eighty-nine systems with visible completion just before the end of the cycle, versus only thirty-nine attacked.

Well done to those at Wolf 121 for reaching a reported 190% and earning for it the Hyades Sector AV-O b6-5 Overachievement Award, presented this week by Cephei Sector DQ-Y b2 which reported 191% in the unpopulated system league.

It pleases me at least a bit that Humanity adapted to that which has great efficacy. The Thargoid Council must be furious about the budget for their Glaive project, which adapted their fleet quite successfully to one of the main ways that Humanity was fighting a couple of months ago. Their pace was insufficient!

It may interest @Phill P to know that the above is very much the fault of @Vingtetun, although such incidents usually have to wait a bit until the Hutton Orbital apology office is open, the opening hours for which all end with "-ish".

There's an (Odyssey) surface port CZ at Stackpole Penal Colony in Desurinbin. No idea why there's a CZ in an Alert, but it's been confirmed present and working. Just note that you will get fines for shooting in the NFZ, but they can be easily paid off when you land.

So you can go over 100% for war activities other than ax combat, but for ax combat, when you hit 100% that activity ceases? Or is this 190% different somehow?

The journal now reports system progress, where the reported number shows the excess beyond completion, which has been spectacularly useful for posterior system strength measurements but otherwise can continue rising throughout a cycle. Some of the initial 100% at Wolf 121 will have been port defence, after which anything else one can continue doing there will move the report beyond 100%—completing any remaining missions, for example.

Remember also that Thargoids can be summoned to any system via Hyperspace, even in the absence of any signal sources or Conflict zones, then harvesting or destroying them will cause progress movement!

Control systems now all have Conflict zones, and previous Control systems are retaining them even while cleared or entering Alert again. Desurinbin saw a Control eviction in Week 24 after PDES gave it some good initial progress due to being the target of nearby reactivation missions, then I finished it later with the INIV harvest wing.

I didn’t realise there were always Conflict Zones around the stations in Control systems now. Interesting.

They're not around stations (at least they're not meant to be, and if they are the stations are abandoned/not dockable).
Also not all control systems have them, originally it was only the bubble facing systems (of each maelstrom area) but now we have all sorts of confusing indicators like counterstrike-systems and light-green orbs that ultimately don't seem to indicate anything in particular because the control systems with CZs are still fairly random.

I'm checking 65 Kappa Tauri now. It does have free-space AXCZs, but I'll have to do the 70KLs cruise out to the stations to check for station conflict zones.
EDIT: AXCZ confirmed at Coriolis starport Levchenko Terminal.
EDIT2: CZ also confirmed at the ground port Windt Relay.

Maybe because by probing them we're accidentally probing their pleasure centers without knowing it. They may think of it as a mating request. I recommend caution at this point - you all know how a praying mantis mates.

I'm heading out to the leigong systems now

Edit-NM, missed the bit where they are uninhabited.
