Thargoid Surface Site, strange pattern.

First of all, I do apologize if this matter has been discussed million times before. Its only I have ADHD and focusing on forum stuff is pretty much impossible for me.

Anyway, today I noticed these strange symbols on Thargoid site device. I have always had feeling that the pretty "star map" might not be the only function for this, perhaps, possible teleporter.

On the image there is (in my mind) sort of instructions how to operate the device. The bad part is that it seems (at least to me) to function this device we need 3 commanders to activate its full potential. May it be SRV's or guardian fighters.

I do understand that the three "markers" also could mean three items. Sensor, probe and link.

But the thing that bothers me there is "pad" for three "vehicles" in the middle under the device (possible beam?). If you look the surface site from the top you can see kind of "door mechanism".

I don't have any friends in real life or in the game so I can't try "3 commander" tactic. If somebody gets any ideas from this then my job is more than done.

I don't care about personal glory but would be glad if we finally would get some progression in this game. To me the simple "star map" thing just don't make any sense. Why build stuff like this in the game if it doesn't lead us anywhere?

Also, if Frontier did a puzzle that needs three players it is big no no as gamer like me. People like me do exist and unfortunately I don't have 3 computers (I actually have 4 but 3 of them are missing GPU's).

Anyway, here is the picture that blew my mind. Hopefully someone solves this and we can move on.

I don't quite understand about the map. It shows that it is a pointer to the next base there.
And then as far as I know there is nothing in the game that can not be done alone. Solo game.

There's is a rumor that these "Thargoid bases" are actually their motherships and the opening on the top would match the rear door for the Thargons to exit on a regular sized Interceptor

Motherships ? Interesting. Why do the mothers' targoids have to be ships ?
Maybe the mothers of targoids are not ships but land bases?

The "Land Thargoid Bases" would be crashed Motherships from the Thargoid war... and the Thargoid drones are cleaning the Micoid virus/fungus that was used as weapon against them.

Is there a source confirming this ? I always thought that mycoid weapons were used only once in one place by Jameson.

Yes, but as a virus, it spread out as an outbreak almost completly decimating the Thargoids.

About where all of this is written... between the lines of old and new lore...

there are loads of photos via google
when thargoid crash sites first appeared there were a few graphic glitches, still are.
anyway, you could fly your ship all around inside by first slowly descending through that door/hatch.

This line of thinking is why I took thargoid hearts and parts to try them out. Link + heart + part = ?? Well ?? turned out to be nothing as the machinery didn't take the heart or tissue sample.
