The 65000 LY from Sol Club

Just broke through the 60KLY line on the map and am now 60,540LY from Sol. I think I can get about another 4,000LY before running out of stars, or having to look *really* hard.

Unfortunately real life has reared its ugly head and I am having to postpone this trip until the new year when I have more time on my hands.
This coincides with the proposed mass trip in Jan 3302 which I hope to be a part of.
Still serious about doing this just need to prioritise real life crud at the moment.
Will still be on just limited to the bubble until Jan.

Here's an update to my entry in the sixtyfivethousander list:
My farthest point out was CEECKIA ZQ-L C24-0, 'Beagle Point' as it was named by CMDR Kamzel, after his spaceship. Z coordinate 65,270.
I reached it on September 28, 3301.

From there, the Milky Way is a bright band in the distance:

After that I travelled direction low X values till about -1400:-21:65100, but did not get a higher Z-coordinate. Turned around at CEECKAEA CA-O B40-0, directoin high X-values until I was again at about X 8000 to cross the void back.
I expect to arrive in inhabited space in the first week of December, after more than seven months (I play about an hour a day, I'm casual I know). I wonder what this new thing called "Powerplay" I keep hearing about, looks like.

Resting up at 63,053LY from Sol. Plotting is getting tough now, and I had to resort to single tank jumps to make sure I got through a section of badlands without running dry. It looks like I can definitely get to 64,000LY on this line but that seems to be it: almost like the stars suddenly go too far apart right after the 64KLY line. I was able to plot another 800LY from where I am, so I'm hopeful of ending the next jump sequence close to 64KLY from Sol, after that? Well, let's see.

Still finding TC planets and some lovely water worlds but not seen an Earth like in some time.

What's your jump range? I'm curious what kind of range would be enough to hit 65k..
25LY jumprange is enough to breach the 65K line, but not enough to gomuch further, for example to Beagle Point. It's all written in OP

No problem CMDR, we are looking forward to depart in January with you. Also departure day is still to be decided. We will need to understand in good way planetary landing and SRV mechanics, and probably there will be an early patch of something. So the expedition might as well depart in early febraury.

Sup, I will update the incoming list!!! Beagle Point is @ 65279.35LY from Sol, so that's your max distance!!!

I've done the same mistake. Just going north over the Roncevaux will bring you little above the 64K and no more, you will be stranded in very low density zone and everything will be longer and more tedious. My suggestion is that as soon as you cross the Abyss turn West and follow the Carina Sagittarius Arm in the 63K line. When you intersect the Meridian (x=0, y=0, z=65000) star density is enough to jump over the line and become a memeber of the club. Then, if you wish to explore further, another 1000LY west are required to reach the most distance systems. I didn't have an Anaconda, but did try to cross the 65K line way before the meridian and failed several times, untill I realized that, jumprange or not, there aren't any star to jump that east from the meridian.

SPECIAL EVENT: DISTANT WORLDS - A journey beyond the Abyss.
CMDR Erimus (Kamzel) is organizing a Group Expedition to Beagle Point, focused on the incoming Planetary Landing and SRV technologies. The expedition will pass by many of the most intersting POIs in the Galaxy, and will be lead by the Explorer that first got there, and that mapped every known feature of the Milky Way. Departure time will be approximately on the first two weeks of January. Every partecipant that will complete it will become a 65KLY from SOl Club member. For a complete map wich every POI, and subscription, pleaase visit here.

Greetings all!

Last night after a particularly long flying session, I managed to reach the 65k distance about 1k ly east of the Northern Meridian.

This has been the first time I've taken a trip more than a few thousand lightyears from inhabited space, so it's been quite a journey so far. It's far from over though, as I still need to reach the stars further past the 65k line. And I never would've known it possible to get this far if not for the very useful information in this thread.

Safe flying, Cmdrs!

And we have the 30th Member!!! Congratulations!!! I'm quite happy that this thread is generating gameplay.

Ok we have 30 members and it's time for a little bit of statistic:

Members: 30
CMDRs that crossed the 65K before the club existed (10 MONTHS) = 20
CMDRs that become member after the clube existed (2 WEEKS) = 10

Since Club foundation almost a CMDR every day became member. Since the purpose of the Club has never been to be a small group of elitists (lol), but to provide gameplay to a barren area of the galmap, I can call this project a success for the time being.
Cheers Club Members!!!

Almost a month ago I commented the FGE Teamspeak:

"I think Beagle Point is fast becoming the new Sag A"

... and in the next week the 65K club emerged and visitors are showing up every few days. What fun! :)

Ahhh you misunderstand :)

I'm not out here to just get to the furthest point / Beagle point. I'm out here to explore, and I set myself a goal of seeing how far North I can go. Beagle point is another place I want to get to, but I am primarily out here... just 'cos :)

It's not a mistake that I am making... it's a conscious choice. :)

Sorry Traveller_GG, I misunderstood. Last thing I want to do is to tell CMDRs where they should bring their ship!!!! Since you already are that close, after you have done your northern survey, consider also joining the Club, it will be a minor detour from your position!

Subscribing because I'll be joining this club wether you want it or not ! :D
We don't refuse anyone for any reason. Think that few people in the list is there becouse we saw their tags out there over the 65K line, they never posted here.
If you want to be put in the Incoming list, please give a distance from Sol.

Oh half a million light second Earth like how you mock me.

Its worse when it turns out to be a water world :D

Yesterday I had my ELW at 100,000LS, wich is way better than 500,000, but i was rushing, you know.
Regarding the "what if it turns out to not be a..." it's only your fault after you have got this: :):):)
A planet 50,000LS away has an ELW look, so I listen to its sound, compare with the one in my guide, understant it a lousy HMC not TFC that sits 50,000LS away more than I wanted, and I leave the system with a light heart being sure I haven't left anything meaningfull behind.

I did check the sound and it was a Water World, so I bailed :) Left it for someone else to get out there if they're daft enough to get this far out.
