I concede my bid for Beagle Point, for now.

I'm currently on Roncevaux Crossing. While there is still a possibility for me to cross it with my ultrashort 16.3-16.76 LY jump and proceed as far as possible (I haven't consumed any FSD boost materials), I had a sudden realization that I'm not into this level of hardcore exploration; I suppose this is not yet my time to achieve this goal.

Thanks guys for the inspiration. This thread has been partly the reason why I suddenly went as far away from my comfort zone (57+KLY) when my previous record was only 1.5KLY. The 3 weeks in the black had been an epic adventure to me.

So here I go, proceeding for the self-destruct sequence. I'll see you guys in the Bubble.

And you Beagle Point. So close yet so far. I'm going to reach you again someday.

Something here is amiss.
You tell me you've been flying for three weeks on what is nearly 40-50H of quality cockpit time (minimal guesstimate of buckyballing that distance) and you have the "sudden realization" that this is "too hardcore" for you ?
Mate, you're hardcore. You've proven it. Congratulations and see you in the Void ! o7

Well, this seems to be about as far as my Imperial Eagle can possibly go, so I think I'll report in this as my max distance...

Yep, defeated Advent so back in Silence Unbounded seeing how far down the arm I can push before I turn round. Made it to the Ceeckia sector at least...

There's a reasonable chance I still will be next weekend when our play times might even overlap.

Let me know if you want to have a meet-up over 65KLY line...I'm happy to hand around here until the DW fleet arrives :)

Awesome job CMDR Frawd! Has anyone told R4 yet?

Thanks Cmdr. Not to my knowledge...

That's some going for a li'l' ol' Eagle... You were in places my boostless Cobra can't get to when I saw you on the galmap earlier.

(You'll have to be content with virtual rep though)

Bueno, aqui estamos...

CMDR Martin Afonso has arrived at Beagle Point 3rd March 3302 onboard Asp Explorer class ship, DSE Samantha Carter, half way in his journey around the galaxy.

EDIT: Pre-boost departure, August 2nd 3301/2015

I'm at the doorstep, 500ly away south from BP.
I will check out whether there is an alternate route for my current setup (looking west the stars do look a bit more numerous), might search for more mats as well. I have 18 basic, 9 standard and 2 premium jumps for my 23.7ly ship. I could boost my ammo by collecting more Germanium and Cadmium.

One way or another, I will join the club. :)

Well if you want, you could follow the route that I used to reach 65k Ly unboosted in my 21.85-23.95 Ly Imperial Eagle. Got it posted here, with all system names and distances :)
Reaching Beagle Point will take at least 13 boosts per direction though, 6 basic and 7 standard.
