The 80LY+ Club

Hello Commanders o7 :D

Some of you may recall my "Project: Gap Year Student" a while ago in which I got some fantastic advice and general help in building an Anaconda fit for deep space exploration.

With the introduction of a now working Guardian FSD booster many of us are now over 80LY (320LY Neutron boost) So join the club show us all how you built your 80LY+ Ship :D

Welcome to the 80LY+ CLUB Commanders [up]

"Gap Year Student" 80+ With shields, boost, repair, and a couple of SRVs.

After reaching elite in exploration i started thinking that exploration is not about how to jump farther, at all.

So i plan to discard my 70+ Exploraconda for smth smaller and more agile not to miss out the goodies that are less than 70ly in between.

Nevertheless, 80+ is a fantastic achievement, well done.

Yeah I was debating using a smaller ship, but the lure of the 80LY made me want that. The module space makes it a nice choice, but that super cruise maneuverability is... not great.

Love the jump range OP.

Am I going mad or are you missing a planetary approach suite and a couple of scanners?

I think the export has omitted some bits for reasons that escape me. But approach is non removable, and it has an advanced, and planetary scanner. The test flights have gone well.

with 149% power consumption do you have to shot down live support to to use a limpet :)

short tested only the amfu´s and the srv for normal fly seems nice .. good work

Hold ya breath it healing time! LOL

In practicality all modules work as and when they are needed. The AFM's are part of that large total use, they are turned off off. SRV is off, until I land and the thrusters power down. Power management is pretty straight forward for this one as GYS has no weapons to worry about :D

Thats an excellent build for jump range. My anaconda is identical, but i chose to take a A3 powerplant, armoured 5 and thermal spread. I think you do save some time scooping and jumping. Now the choice for the fighter hangar, takes away almost 3 lys ... :)

2A gives just that slight edge in weight if engineered. It's scooping at 1200 so that's nice and fast, runs so cold you can hit jump before you clear the star!
I've not used fighter bays for a long while, may only look at them again when I'm Elite combat as they steal all my precious experience points lol

Just got rid of the guy yesterday, he was nothing but a deadweight! He just sits in some lounge somewhere and sips his drink when i do all the dirty work...

I was confused at first, looking at the Coriolis build, since the unladen jump range is 77 ly. But then I realized you're going by the max jump-range. Now I'm on the same page! LOL.

Everyone quotes the highest figure  :D

Granted the fuel level has to be quite low to jump it, and you best be sure it's a scoopable star when you get there but breaking that 80LY barrier is great! Thinking of speed running Colonia this weekend to see how it goes as a test. Then I'll be hitting the black for a bit! o7

Well, not everyone. :) I always go by the unladen range, since I care about what the course plotter will do. ;) :D

Ps4 console peasant here, i have 81.43ly. With shields, boost, srv, repair limps, ADS+DSS. And i'm loving it on my first beagle run with friends. went with 32t tank so i can stack 4 neutrons in a row.

LOL seriously. It could be useful for one of those one-way trips to get stranded at a distant star cluster, but not much else. :D

LOL, Self Destruct Initiated.

Looks like I can get to Colonia in 80 Neutron Jumps, add another say 25/30 for fuel grabbing, could be there in about 100 ish jumps. Add in time for FSD repairs and drinking too much beer, plus Netflix distraction, could be there in a good single session! Or I could be heading back via the method above!?

Nice, be interested in the build :D
