Community Event / Creation The Buckyball Racing Club presents: On The Rocks 7th - 15th May 3307 (Magic 8-Ball Championship, Race 4)

For Regulation Cobra screenshots of your ship outfitting showing Core and Optional internals and your jump range and cargo capacity.
Short question from the newb - is it enought to scroll through the modules page, the inventory and the ship stats at the end of the video directly from inside the ship?

I suspect it will be fine, as long as the modules fitted can be seen. It is up to the race organizer which is of course @psykit But it is normally done at the start of the race before launch.

Well... looks like my unpaid interns from the Emerald Institute of Technology's Fort O'Brian Campus are going to have their work cut out for them for this race. My current crop of components for Elegance of Virtue leaves me either just one light year short of 35 light years unladen, or two tenths of a light year over.

Also, Team Stevenson has replenished our supply of spare components and structural parts. Thankfully, the gentleman manning the Inter Astra desk managed to completely fill our order, and didn't even give me any weird looks when I came to see how .

After a straw poll among the staff of Stevenson Whirlwind Adventures, we've decided to completely scrap what's left of poor Tyrrany of Momentum, and the aptly named and newly christened Ship of Theseus is the new SWA Regulation Cobra. Fast may she fly!

"But Psykit," I hear you cry. "I'm far too busy procrastinating to look up the distances between systems and work out the best run for myself, can you help?"

For those new to this trick, there is a way to program an Excel spreadsheet to work out the shortest path, taking into account the changing jump range with cargo requirements. I could be persuaded to share?

Personally, I've always considered half the fun of this kind of thing is trying to figure these solutions out for myself. I'm sure your solution is probably far more elegant than mine, though. ;)

@psykit, speaking of figuring things out, I'd like confirmation that this is the relevant number, when fully fueled and empty of cargo, when it comes to the Equalizer:

I'll let you into a secret re: my algorithm for choosing those ships too.

I went through my entire fleet at ShinDez, ignored anything who's jump range was just over a bracket (36? no, 41? no) and picked those who's jump range was just under (34.8? yes, 39.7? yes). Scientific huh!

😆

Close with penalties, all 4 within 1 minute of each other after corrections. This in theory will mean a 35ly Cutter will barely be any different to a 50ly dbx Except for landing the fat arsed sod of course
