Dear Members of the Buckyball Racing Club, dear friends
6 years ago, CMDR AkenBosch hosted a race which became a classic: Prison Brake. A lot of things have changed in the Galaxy since then. But a lot of other things have stayed the same. One of these is that the Galaxy still has prisons, and the prison authorities are still concerned about the inmates attempting to break out. As a few of our members may confirm, this is not an easy thing to do. And once you manage to escape the prison walls, where are you going to go?
Back in 3303, we tried to test the external security measures of some select planetside penal colonies: is it possible for a good pilot to land at a penal colony, possibly pick up a passenger and take off again? The result of this test was devastating for the prison authorities: yes. Not only is it possible - a good pilot can visit three penal colonies in less than 15 minutes.
Now, 6 years later, the prison authorities are ready to try again. Some have upgraded their security measures with additional ships in patrol and on hot standby. And they asked us if we're up for the challenge of

This will be a simple race:
The local authorities at the penal colonies will not be aware of this test, so they'll treat you like any other intruder. Be prepared to receive fines or bounties and be fired upon if you overstay your welcome. But since none of the penal colonies' proprietors are present in the Slink's Eye system, this should be only a minor inconvenience.
The three penal colonies to visit are:
In the old race, landing on the station's pad was the preferred option. However, due to the increased security budget, all the pads during our test flights had been occupied by a security ship - usually a Federal Assault Ship or similar. This didn't leave enough space on the pad to settle down with a Cobra Mk.III.
Otherwise, the ususal rules of this race series in particular and the BRC in general will apply:
There will be two race classes only: Open Unlimited and Regulation Cobra Mk.III.
In the Regulation Cobra Mk.III, in addition to the prescribed loadout, you are permitted to fit one (1) unmodified standard chaff launcher, in the case you think this would help you to escape the attention of the local security.
No limitations except for those listed below apply for the loadout in Open Unlimited.
In both classes, the following is forbidden:
After-race drinks at The Tipsy Damsel (for participants only) are on the house, courtesy of the Galactic Prison Administration. But remember:

1 after a test with possibly the worst ship for this task, the required maximum distance was changed to 400 meters. 200 meters is possible at Hume and Barcelo, but (probably) not at Bailey.
Oh yes - the fully equipped 'vette came in handy when I earned a bounty for messing around too long at Bailey, trying to find a parking spot. Those reinforced shields earned their keep.
