wait, why is labour going down? wasnt it labour that we want to support?
i think i need to read the wiki entry to understand how it works o.o

It's really hard to predict what will happen with BGS not a huge amount of info on it
the change is from actions yesterday, I didn't do anything in the system yesterday but there's a small group of cmdrs operating in system (the're our guys btw) don't know what they we're doing, at least one was bounty hunting and doing a bit of trading.
In my experience handing in bonds doesn't change influence much, its nowhere near the effect missions have.
.
A few other operations we can conduct in local space include backing an Anarchy or Dictatorship in our local Hi-tech system (Bactrimpox I think that's how it's spelt?) so we get access to all high tech commodities (I think battle weapons are currently illegal here)
and doing the same in our local Agri system (I think it may already have access to all commodities, will check when I get home tonight)

I'm on my way to reconfigure my python for combat. Will then start fighting for Labour.

ah, so you're the python that's been in the system :)
I brought my python up last night, so far I've been using DBX for missions
I know who the t-9 cmdr is but there's also a ASP who's been using the system, anyone know who that is?

The asp is me as well. I've been switching between them. I'm not sure I account for all the ships of those two types though.

CIRG (Canonn Interstellar Research Group) Bulletin

10th September 3301

Location: Varati

Today is a good day for Science.

Yesterday, the Canonn Interstellar Research Group took a firm step in consolidating its continued future, stability and power.

Following a period of deliberation, debate, biscuit-trading, and generally sitting-about-doing-as-little-as-possible, the CIRG formally invited and invested, in a ceremony conducted by our glorious leader, Dr Arcanonn, three new councillors:

RedWizzard
Patau82
Kyp Shard

I hope you will all join me in congratulating them in their appointments - and that everyone agrees that, with them, the CIRG will only be enhanced by their involvement at this level.

They all bring with them some fantastic tinfoil credentials; and a pack of biscuits each - so dig in, people!

On with the Science!

I know, I know... I've already put it up on the Threadnaut, but this is primarily a Canonn gig so I could hardly not put it here as well.
As to why I've got it over there as well, basically - like the Biscuit Barrels - the participation of non-Canonneers is quite the opposite of harmful. But this is our thing, only with an open-door policy sideline, if you like. And, as ever, the more the merrier, the better the chance of commanders getting a bit of welcome weight on the success scales.
More later. Always more later.

May I be among the first to congratulate the new appointees: may your biscuit barrel never be empty!

My combat Python "Catch 22" is at Varati, fighting the good fight for Labour.

P.S. Congrats to the new Councilors

Attention Canonn members there is now a UA section of the website so try to watch there for things to come before they are possibly shown here as they may be dicussed and talked about there first. This also means a place for you all to store your theories and go even more mad with me. Yay?

The first batch of player sponsored minor factions has been processed and will be available in the beta build soon. When the CQC update goes live they will migrate onto the live servers. The aim is to release this at the same time as the Xbox One release, so on October 6th. For the minor factions that have been approved we’ve added descriptions to the relevant systems. The few that haven’t been approved will be communicated directly through the community team and we’ll take another look at them when they’re resubmitted. Note that while we can add new minor factions through the server, the text descriptions are client based so will only be updated when there is a client release.

So, assuming we're in the first batch, The Canonn should appear in beta soonTM which I guess probably means the stress test starting (hopefully) next week. And CQC and new factions will go live on Oct 6.

Influence report:
Lxb4vuU.jpg
Varati Ring Up 3.4%
Varati Independents Union Down 3.4%
Labour Of Varati no change
Varati Blue Public Limited no change
War continues between Labour Of Varati and Varati Blue Public Limited
.
Bonds have very little effect on influence, I didn't do much yesterday only 700k of bounties. I think it needs to be in the millions to make a real difference ;)

I did about 500k of combat bonds for LOV. Does the influence continue to change during the civil war or is it frozen until there is a victor?

What's interesting is that Varati Independent Union is now pending expansion. How does that work? Are they trying to flee?

according to galnet only war related stuff has an effect on influence, as combat missions are not appearing for some reason (we shouldn't need a neighbouring inhabited system for these???) looks like combat bonds are the only way to change rep at the moment.
there's donation missions to give credits to help war effort but these don't seem to have an effect, in 1.4 missions outcomes seem to have been improved so hopefully a donation mission relating to war will effect civil war and not economy (currently reduces bust)

Hello fellow Commanders, Which universe are you in whilst at our home world ! Online last night in Mobius and saw no one ?

Edit.. Did about 1.5 mil in Combat bonds

I'm in Open. Closest High Density to Thompson Dock currently. Two sides of conflict remain steady percentage wise, though Labour now showing an upswing (up arrow), and Blue on a down swing.

I've stayed in Open as well in Varati. I'm usually fighting at the warzones near Bond Hub.

My Cobra missions out of system have been for the food charity missions. I know the info on the wiki says they don't affect influence, but people have to eat! Plus I had to cancel my fundraising bake sale since the war was on, so I feel bad.

Patau and I taking a rest at Bond Hub.
