Afternoon Commanders o7. Now handed in about 10 mil in combat bonds at Varati (For Labour). Also doing every "Aid" mission I can in terms of donation or food/basic meds missions, both food cartridges and basic meds are at Thompson so easy missions don't even have to leave the station !. I still have a UA in storage ready for 1.4 and willing to test however deemed fit by the council.

Erm.... The "Atomic" symbol in some sigs... is it public domain or personal. would like to add it to my sig if approved by the council !

Will be hanging around Verati from around 3pm BST in the closet high combat zone. Playing in Mobius. See you later commanders o7

Hey Macros, what's strange though is that even factoring in your missions you've done more for Independent Union than Ring. So their jump to power must be being influenced more by others as well.

I'm guessing we may be begin subverted by some unknown power seeking to instil disorder into any future scientific efforts... :D

If you guys see the missions "The Silent Song Of The Spheres" or "Sealing The Deal" in Varati could you please let me know. Varati is special compared to other systems I have investigated in the sense that these missions have not appeared on the bulletin boards in Bond Hub, Forsskal Hub or Thompson Dock. One other thing, Forsskal Hub is special in some way in connection with the data crystals.

Edit: Same pattern confirmed in HIP 86063 with respect to the absence of the 2 missions. The Forsskal Hub pattern is still unique.

Yes, I agree that is rather strange that all the deliveries for mission completion go to Forsskal. Interesting observation.

I'll keep my eyes peeled for you regarding the missions.

Today's influence standings:

Varati Independents Union: 29.7% up 3.4. Pending: Boom Critical, Expansion.
Varati Ring: 31.8% down 3.4.
Labour Of Varati: 18.6% up 0.1. State: Civil War. Pending: Civil War.
Varati Blue Public Limited: 19.9% down 0.1. State: Civil War. Pending: Civil War.

I think there is a bug with pending states. When I first checked VIU it showed boom critical and expansion. When I checked it a second time both were gone. Exiting the game and restarting made them appear again. Seems like after checking VR which has no pending state the pending states on all other factions disappeared.

Amazing ... now I have two factions to boost once 1.4 hits ... will be fun. I've already parked my UA Hunter Cobra there and have my UA Hunter Vulture in the general area.

I recommend all cmdrs park a long range ship with a bit of cargo space for smuggling and delivery missions available 1.4
I've been using a DBX, it carries 24t of cargo with ~30ly jump range no problems :D

My Asp and Python Both there, A warning to Cmdrs did a run to BACTRIMPOX decided to bring back a full load of non lethal weapons in my new Python to sell at Bond. Got cooked to 175% heat damage at the binary pair of COL 285 SECTOR PJ-P c6-16. Had zeroed throttle on jump came out 4 LS from star and wondered why I was scooping already, heat begins to shoot up. Just like the pantomimes "it's behind you". I was in the corona of the second star. Got out alive with only a little beer spilled but now got soggy biscuits.

I second that. An asp is a very good choice too. Or even a T6.

Yeah, those binaries will keep you on your toes. I usually jump using full throttle, except when jumping into systems with very dense stars. Just for fun, I scooped between the stars, the sight is awesome as is the temperature :)

Btw, you guys really made an effort selecting a system far from other populated systems, I'm spending a fair amount of time trying to find similar systems to confirm the Varati Raxxla missions pattern.

Yi Trica is a high tech system about 80ly away that has a decently stocked Shipyard. I didn't check if they have DBX on the menu. Or buy your ship and outfit it at a discount somewhere else, then schlep it over.
I did that with a Vulture last night.

If the cost is significant then it's worth buying at a hitech Li Yong-Ri system for the 15% discount and then flying it back to Varati.
