The Crescent 'Abyss'

Been tooling around in the Sanguineous Rim and noticed an entry in the GEC for 'The Crescent Abyss', so I thought I'd go take a look.

Admittedly the current starlight is a bit direct, but this is what I found:

Looks a bit shallow to me, and was wondering if a recent update has altered it. Anyone else confirm...?

The original photo is taken when the sun is very low so that the shadow fills the crescent.

Bear in mind that this is a massive crater so it may look shallow relative to its diameter, but it is deeper than any surrounding mountain rangers are high.

Understood. (y)

I did land in it and have a drive around. It's still quite unusual and impressive, so I'm glad I went there. But, given that the GEC images made it appear deeper though, I thought I'd ask the question.

Cheers. :)
