Dinosaurs The Current Troodon.

Now, I'm all for more bird-like behaviors regarding the dinosaurs of Jurassic World Evolution, but the way Troodon is potrayed as in this game, well, it's less than stellar.

For starters, the Troodon is potrayed as essentially an overgrown Compsognathus in this game, it bounds everywhere, hops, skips, even uses Compy sound effects from the films.

Now the Troodon doesn't fit that style simply due to how it was potrayed such as Jurassic Park: The Game.

Jurassic Park: The Game had a pretty interesting design choice of the Troodon, one that I would prefer over JWE's current overgrown Compy model save for that huge head.

I think the only reason why I dislike the Troodon is that it's potrayed as something it isn't or remotely similar to, I understand that the Compy may be too small to implement, but creating a new dinosaur, for the sole purpose of filling that gap, when it doesn't suit that role at all? It's disappointing. At least the venom mechanic is one of the only redeeming factors of this Compy-clone.

Of course, that's just my opinion, if it were up to me I'd keep the rather dark behaviors of the Troodon and at least make the legs, tail and neck a little less scrawny, make the Troodon less of a bouncy boy, and uh..maybe change those calls too.

On a side note, I am aware that the new "versions" of previously existing dinosaurs such as Triceratops and Ankylosaurus were changed to better suit an actual existing park, and a creature as violent and overall creepy as JP's Troodon would definitely be changed to be more guest-friendly and not as horrific in terms of behavior, but this version I heavily dislike.

Why does it have to be the exact same, as the one in Jurassic Park: The Game? I always hated the way it looked in that game (the entire game was pretty terrible to be honest, though I love Telltale). This design actually looks like something from Jurassic Park.

And what do you mean by "something it isn't" and "doesn't suit the role as a bigger compy"? We have no clue about what Troodon looked like at all, and how they behaved. The only fossil we have from Troodon is ONE tooth. That's it... Everything is pure fiction. The only thing we know, is that the dinosaur was small and fed on meat. Just like a Compy.

I personally love this, way more than the JP: The Game version... This looks like an actual animal. Not an insect with a little raptor body...

The one from that JP game looks like something out of Ice Age 3... it looked very bad and was WAY too alien like, both looks and the way they acted. I'm really happy that JWE didn't go with that terrible one from the JP game, at least this one looks like a dinosaur.

While the Troodon in the JP game was quite unique in it's look, it just wouldn't work in the style of JWE. In the JP game it's much more cartoony and stylised. The slightly more realistic looking Troodon in JWE fits much better with the rest of the dinosaurs.

Someone modded and created a Troodon skin based on the TellTale's game appearance

The eyes seem somewhat off, IMO

I love the look. It’s very realistic to a real troodontid since we don’t know what Troodon itself actually looked like. The JP the Game Troodon was off the deep end really, way too nuts. I’m glad we have this version.

I think it’s been referred to Stenonychosaurus now yes.

Our JW:E Troodon certainly bears the looks of Stenonychosaurus as well which is what I meant
