Now, I'm all for more bird-like behaviors regarding the dinosaurs of Jurassic World Evolution, but the way Troodon is potrayed as in this game, well, it's less than stellar.
For starters, the Troodon is potrayed as essentially an overgrown Compsognathus in this game, it bounds everywhere, hops, skips, even uses Compy sound effects from the films.
Now the Troodon doesn't fit that style simply due to how it was potrayed such as Jurassic Park: The Game.
Jurassic Park: The Game had a pretty interesting design choice of the Troodon, one that I would prefer over JWE's current overgrown Compy model save for that huge head.
I think the only reason why I dislike the Troodon is that it's potrayed as something it isn't or remotely similar to, I understand that the Compy may be too small to implement, but creating a new dinosaur, for the sole purpose of filling that gap, when it doesn't suit that role at all? It's disappointing. At least the venom mechanic is one of the only redeeming factors of this Compy-clone.
Of course, that's just my opinion, if it were up to me I'd keep the rather dark behaviors of the Troodon and at least make the legs, tail and neck a little less scrawny, make the Troodon less of a bouncy boy, and uh..maybe change those calls too.
On a side note, I am aware that the new "versions" of previously existing dinosaurs such as Triceratops and Ankylosaurus were changed to better suit an actual existing park, and a creature as violent and overall creepy as JP's Troodon would definitely be changed to be more guest-friendly and not as horrific in terms of behavior, but this version I heavily dislike.
