The Deep Space Support Array (DSSA) | A FleetComm Initiative

Hi Cmdr, is your carrier in Errant Marches selling Tritium? Thanks :)

While I have about 5kt left over, this is currently reserved to support the other DSSA deployments in the Errant Marches region, so I am not selling for now. There is a Tritium hotspot in the system, and I already found two Tri2 within a carrier jump of my position. I am currently surveying all systems with icy rings within 999 LY of my carrier to see if there are more Tri2 or even a Tri3 out here.

The view on edastro.com cannot show the carriers that have not announced their destination yet, so the picture is somewhat misleading. There were three sign-ups each for the Errant Marches and Vulcan Gate regions, but four of these six have not announced their planned deployment systems yet. Another one has announced a system, but it's about 10k LY outside the region they signed up for. That's why there is just one marker (for my DSSA Andromeda Calling) in the southwest.

The DSSA Tracker gives a more realistic picture: 105 carriers are signed up, 22 have not announced their destination yet, or only in way that does not allow putting a marker into the ED Astro map.

It will be good to have a few more out there. I hope in time it becomes easier to find them on the map...I'm hoping that's in the cards for a future update.

Any other DSSA CMDR's having trouble with "stalker" FC's?

Someone decided to park their FC not only in the same system DS 27 is in, but literally park right next to it, orbiting the same little moon.
Could be someone dropping in to check things out, from sheer curiosity, could be someone who thinks they are gonna find Raxxla. Who knows.

Figure I'll send a friend request, and politely see what's up.

The galaxy isn't THAT small (yet)..... sheesh.

So... I may or may not have hitched a ride on a DSSA carrier in my busted up old corvette just to occupy my time until odyssey drops...
Link in my sig for the full story. Huge thanks to the carrier captain for taking out that far to begin with!

Hehe, yeah there have been one or two other carriers parked in the same nebula as my DSSA carrier. In my case it's probably just that they had an interest in the nebula. But it could be that we have some shadows too. ;)

Many thanks to the DSSA initiative in general and the captain of the DSSA Hecate's Grace in particular!.

I wanted to relive the fantastic journey that Distant Stars meant and especially the end in HD 76133, with the same feeling of challenge and care required in the piloting that led to the ascent up the Cancri Climb. I've never been to Anaconda Graveyard after helping to create it, so I prepared the smallest ship that could make the final jump in AH Cancri to reach Elysium: the Mauve Adder.

There was just a problem: no matter how many module combinations I could do, carrying a Planetary Vehicle Module was imposible... until I remembered the DSSA Initiative.
So the SRV module stayed behind in Celaeno, Mauve Adder made the climb flawlessly and thanks to the Hecate's Grace and its outfitting service, I could reclaim the module and now Mauve can explore planetary POIs. During Distant Stars I picked up some occupied escape pods and dropped them over Arcadia, hoping that they could withstand the atmospheric entry and so, their occupants could start a new colony there. I've been in Arcadia today, didn't saw any lights on the night side, so it seems they'll need more hands on deck and Mauve can contribute to it.

So, many thanks to Hecate's Grace and the DSSA!.

Overall DSSA update

I've handed over the leadership of the DSSA initiative to @Gnauty , it's his baby now, and I'm sure he'll expand it farther and better than I can at the moment. Thanks and good luck Gnauty :) o7
🚀

Qohen, I appreciate your leadership and recognize your talent in putting this initiative together. Thank you and I look forward to seeing you around the Elite-verse.

Gnauty, I look forward to the new era. I'm dedicated to doing my part to ensure your success and the continuation of the DSSA.

@Qohen Leth: I am very happy to report that my DSSA #88 fleet carrier "Four corners monument" has safely arrived at the destination system - 'Operation quadripoint' was completed without any troubles using 49 jumps from Colonia.
It will stay at this unique landmark for at least the next 3 years

The system contains 3x a single Tritium hotspot and an overlapping dual Void opal hotspot.
The carrier will buy Tritium for 60.000CR / ton
The Carrier has a Hutton Mug in the cargo for full HOT-MESS compatibility :) (and some Steaks & Beer)

Erm... Make take me a little while though... 🙃

Congratulations, @BlastDuke! I see a nice green pin at Four Corners in EDAstro. Welcome to the neighborhood!
Hello to you, too, Neighbor :)
I was just drafting a round trip (Mare Somnia -> Acheron and back) somewhere in the near future, visiting some DSSA carriers on the way. I will definitely include yours in my travel book

DSSA Reserve List Update

Three CMDRs have signed-up for the DSSA Reserve List, and two of them have been offered deployments. I anticipate that the third will be given a deployment location after the weekend.

If you are interested in deploying a FC with the DSSA, this is a great time to put your name on the Reserve List: https://forms.gle/jXwjmPVy7Dy5ywZn8

Enjoy your weekend!

Gnauty Gnate
