The difference between fun and sheer insanity....

ZERO survival ability left. Only blind chance let me escape into Witchspace. My shields are ONLY bump-shields; my armour is wrecked. A kid with a slingshot could damage me. 4 Jumps left; nothing left in the tank.
Doing ALL I can to arrive in the target system in a tactical position. The NPC pirates have been a DAMN annoying distraction; I've had to high-wake out a couple of times.
Grrr... Just a few Jumps left. If you're reading this and trying to kill me, READY YOUR GUNS, you beyotches. You're about to see the FASTEST entry into a station that ANY T-9 has ever done.

DOCKING! The other player came close, but I guess chose to escort, not attack. Sighs and relaxes - that was a TON of fun and even moreso when I found out the station I was going for could not accommodate my ship. The resulting run was tense, but HUGELY fun.
A player GOT me - but didn't have the weapons to kill me before I got back into Witchspace. Another player was present when I arrived - but did not attack. :)
THIS is the core of ED, in my opinion.
Whew! What a flight! I'm wheels down and secure. Turns out the pricing info was false (I assume it hadn't updated yet) and I didn't make much - but it was a fun flight. :)

I'll take it. :D

Like your style OP.

Wingmate and I have just hauled 50 escape pods and 20 tons of Osmium 12kLy out to Colonia from Gnosis (in Chieftain and Asp respectively) when we could have got them there, just as if not more easily.

And because I had extra space, carried the Osmium and we needed to do a cargo exchange, landed 70km outside Marsha Hicks to do that then drove to the base by SRV which took an hour or so (it's a very striking way to arrive at a large base for the first time though).

Oh and because my long range Chief has to fly shieldless, and I always carry one ton bootleg liquor that I've no intention of selling just because, just about every landing at every base is a moonshiner.

+1 for the sheer insanity that makes it fun.

I.
DO.
NOT.
Combat-log.
It's...(eek!) easy. And kind of pathetic.
Combat logging is like running to Mommy: "MOMMY! I hit Billy in the face and he wants to hit me back! MOMEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!]
Go log out when it's bad. We'll STILL be here if you ever grow a pair of balls.
If you EVER want to look at combat in ED we will be here as well. We are a friendly and supportive community. We will help, fight, build your skills and get you BETTER.
But if your poopoo isn't enough BEFORE you contact us well...I'm developing a basic flight video for exactly that.

In the name of honor and justice, taste my combat log.

Well done OP.

I flew all the way to Taygeta to get 1.7m/ton a couple weeks ago in an unarmed miner (555m/s boost though), and it was well worth the time. My son was watching (sort of) and was confused at my doing it in Open - I'm trying to impress upon him the bonus of doing everything in Open, and he's getting there.

PS what do you consider 'Alberta's best'?

If they get me, the game will be decided. If they DON'T, the game will be decided.
Were we in equal ships, I would bet I would have a better than average chance of winning - my Xeno's Paradox is a HELL of a PvP ship and she has a good Commander. Together, we have dozens of player kills. Most were inexperienced dudes that wanted to fight; a few were REAL players.
To lose an honourable and equal fight is a pleasure.
It is the same here.

My T-9 CANNOT survive a Player, so the game is to outwit anyone who chooses to find me. I have told everyone online where I started, where I am going, and what I have. :) If I lose, I will laugh and cheer the player that got me. But I DO think my evasion is good enough that they'll never see me.
:)
As Spoke would say... Fascinating!
