Maybe it's just the bounties that aren't registering. I'm pretty sure my place flipped from friendly to allied after 1.05

Thanks. Maybe it glitched during these weird disconnects which they hopefully fixed now. We also lost money last night due to some weirdness so maybe me not getting any rep from tons of bounties had to do with that. Will run tests soon in the afternoon and see if its back to normal.

I do notice now though that rep isnt coming instantly when dropping off cargo for me. It did before. As soon as you dropped in bounties, commodities, exploration data you would see the up arrow instantly. Now i seem to get the arrow after a while when i left the station and zoomed around in space for a while. Thats ok i guess as long as rep is coming in. But its nicer to see it instantly me thinks. This might also be some ongoing smaller issue, and the reason why there are server maintanaces. :)

Same with bounties

I'd say around the same value in bounties should do it without any use of the missions.

Yes, we all know how it should work. Maybe my title wasnt clear enough. This is something that happened now last night and today. So how it worked before is not the issue. ;)

keep testing it, the devs are off work until monday so 3 days with no answer. But it would be interesting to see while trying to fix something if they have broken something else

Reputation gains seem to lag quite a bit behind the action that causes them.
I did some bounty hunting and a stray shot got me a 200cr bounty. I payed it off and shortly after that turned the bounties in. No rep change was shown. I then did some more bounty hunting and when I turned them in I got a down arrow. I was done with playing and just checked the market prices and stuff while docked at a station and a few minutes later I got the up arrow.

I've not done enough bounty hunting since the patch. But they had explained that there are server ticks periodically that adjust influence. Perhaps it's just a matter of waiting a while for the server to catch up with the information?

Yep. Noticed that now and its a new phenomenon. Pre 1.05 it was instant (to me). I now noticed i did get rep after doing about 20 wanted kills. Took about 1 minute before it registered. All good then. Maybe it will be instant again later or maybe this is how it will be. Anywhoo, all is good.

You get reputation for most things....missions, exploration data and of course trading. Bountyhunting gives rep as well.

copy& paste from our AEDC forum about bountyhunting reputation:

cashing in bounties gives you rep for:
  • the major faction that the system has allegiance to
  • the system faction(s) aligned with the major faction (if not independent)

Reputation system broken. A ship crash reset reputation to hostile.

About two weeks ago I was scanned one too many times with stolen good, and the Feds started shooting me on sight.
I get that. Being scanned with illegal goods lowers your reputation.

I've spent two weeks working on restoring my reputation. Countless missions for several federal factions between Bonitou and LFT1072, and I've been pretty damn careful not being scanned by police vessels with anything funky in the cargo hold.
One week ago, the first federal station forces stopped opening fire on me on sight. And a couple of days ago, I entered Bonitou, Bast, and BD+75 58 for the first time in more than a week, and this without anyone shooting at me. This have to mean that my reputation has improved considerably. BD+75 58 was the system where I got fined last, and when they started shooting at me in the first place, and two days ago I returned there for the first time since then and they accepted me without shooting.

Then today, I picked up a Hit-order with the Federal Navy for a ship called Gen. Woods in the Bast-system. Once I found the ship, the scan revealed it as a Federal Drop-ship and it was armed to the teeth. I was flying an Eagle (set up for 8t cargo transport with only class 2 shields) and didn't stand a chance. I got shot out of the skies.

I respawn in BAST-system and can't leave the station without a swarm of Federal Security shooting at me again!
There must be something broken with the Reputation system, since all reputation I've worked up is just gone when the only thing I did was getting shot up by an enemy of the Federation!

Right now, I'm more than <snip> frustrated! And on top of that I just got kicked off the server.
I got annoyed at them starting to shoot at me, but I realized that's because of the failed smuggling, and that is part of the game. I've learned my lesson and has been flying straight ever since. Then, this happens which makes no sense at all! I call it !

Empire Reputation not Changing

I've been running a lot of missions for the Empire, and got myself up to the rank of Knight. However, my reputation is still sitting at "Neutral". I've completed dozens of missions, and handed in hundreds of thousands of credits worth of bounties. But nothing changes on the reputation side. Oddly enough, when I hand in a mission, it will show my Empire reputation as Allied. But in the right-hand Status window, it never moves from "Neutral". Although it does show a white arrow pointing upward; there has been no change.

Is anyone else having this issue? Is it a bug, or am I just not considering something?

I've got this as well, I've hit Baron and am allied with a few Empire sub-factions but I'm still neutral, not sure what I''m missing.

Umm, this is odd. I went back in the game, and now I am at "Friendly" status with the Empire. So either a mod acted really really really fast (in which case; thanks, super awesome dude!), or I just posted this immediately before my reputation rose. Sure took a lot of effort to get it there, if that's the case. Anyway, time to shoot for Allied status (which is what the quest windows show me, when I hand one in).

I am stuck with navel progression, I have the permit to beta hydri, but all I get are missions for that permit which I already have. Been that way for 2 weeks now
