On my way back now from Sag A, going to drop into the great annihilator on the way back. Does anyone know if their is anything else worth looking at on the way. I've been out of the bubble since before 1.5 and am keen to get back now as I'm starting to lose it a bit.

Once you've seen the Great Annihilator, you've seen the most spectacular thing in the Galaxy, that I'm aware of at least. I'm on my way back now and I'm not bothering scanning much any more as I'm trying to get back to the bubble as soon as I can. Only around 13k away now!
I scanned a lot on the way to Sag A, but like you I'm speeding up for the way back. Moving house atm though so lose internet for a week, if I'm back before the end of the month it will be a miracle.

Stop in at the Fine Ring Nebula on your way back, its only small but its worth a look. It's probably my favourite Nebula I've come across so far
Will do, I'm looking to see the sights while I'm out here as long as it's not too big a detour. I'm itching a bit to get back, been out here alone since the middle of November. But I do want to see the sights while I am here.

Just remember to take as much care on the journey back. Getting back to the bubble will test your metal. any Npc showing up on the scanner makes you stupidly scared. You drop out of SC at the station, big sigh of relief then panic because you got to land the damn thing safe. Feels real good when your down in the hanger selling your data.
I start Distant Worlds thursday & I'm really excited but also teriffied at the same time. (insert nervous laugh)

It takes a special type of person to do that. I had thought about just continuing once I got to Sag A, but once I got there I just wanted to get back to the bubble.

Yep that's a long way. It's around 53k from where I am right now. To be honest, the trip to Sag A and back is enough for me, never mind more than double the distance.

I'm taking the Asp that I took to Sag A. She's very close to my heart & pray I dont lose her. If we return she's being retired into my Hall of Fame.

I bought & outfitted my Asp Ready for distant worlds today. Only 17 million thanks to Yong-Rui. Took it to Obsidian as a shakedown. Looking forward to the DW trip starting Thursday.
Best of luck to all the CMDRs doing the Distant Worlds expidition. I'll be honest, I couldn't do it. I've made it to Sag A and am around 11k away from the bubble now and just itching to get back. I've had enough solitude in the game and am looking forward again to some action and smuggling.

I would do it, but i have to get back from my current trip. I doubt I will go on another expedition until Horizons. I have to do some fuel ratting again and help at Lidpar.

I don't get anywhere close to the distances you folk are getting, but you may be able to help me. Do you track they systems/ planets you have been to and if so, how do you track where you have been?
I buy a small ship in any ports I happen to come across, but that doesn't help with the unpopulated domain of space. Is there an app or some add on software - or is there a feature in the game itself that i have completely missed?
