THE FORMIDINE RIFT MYSTERY (Part 4)

Well done for providing this! Excellent work. I only noticed one detail missing, the names of the ships that formed Salomé's escort to the Daibo system (which were destroyed) were significant. You may wish to add that.

Cheers,

Drew.

From Galnet:
[...]Wreckage found in Daibo has been positively identified as belonging to the Imperial Cutter 'Diadem' and the Imperial Clippers 'Cypripedium', 'Velum', 'Monile' and 'Vestimenta'.[...]

You are getting close.

Cheers,

Thanks, hopefully I'm interpreting that correctly as we've managed to narrow down the search zone with the recent co-ordinates.

yesterday i had the bad idea to engage a combat with one of those 'defence system' ship.
my hull now is at 64% and i am searching something on the surface of a planet with more than the Earth gravity force. :/

Well ... i landed on a black square ... but it was night, so i made a couple of rounds with my SVR and nothing more.

The new 'rift thread, I presume?

Did anyone get a chance to see if audio of the planets with a camp are in any way different to those on the same planet type with no base camp?

Sorry, too far away right now to test myself.... You'll want to be about 20m-30Mm away, and be as quiet as possible, pointed at the planet and listening to the soundtrack. I have a hunch the audio team may have been nice enough to give us a clue (they do with most things...)

Z...

So what you're looking for is a pair of sparkly see-through knickers?

It's ok, I can see my coat...

Got a very faint hit on the wave scanner in the upper band on EAFOTS GL-Y E2 6... 20.6251, 13.0389 bearing 214-215...
Will follow and report back...

EDIT: Crashed NAV beacon POI - nevermind :( I'm getting excited at any blip now... someone better discover something soon... i can feel the space madness setting in!

Going to go see if I can squeeze some more range out of my Asp, and get same L5 dirty drives for speed... Though I wouldn't get there for 24hrs at least, seeing as I have an early start tomorrow.

Z..

If Frontier Support says no to placing me back out in the Rift (which is highly likely), I'm going to work on a hunch I have and grab an Unknown Artefact before heading back out there... might swap over to G5 Dirty Drives from my Clean Drives to see what extra speed I can get. I probably won't go A-rated, because in the sacrifice between thruster strength and jump range, I'm still feeling jump range is more valuable. I just need to be more careful on high-G planets, especially with the lateral thrusters.

My plan is to variously drop and scoop the UA around the Rift and see if anything happens.

Does anyone know if anyone has done this before? Is it worth trying?
