Proposed POI name: Echoes of Eternity
POI type: Planetary Nebula/Supernova Remnant
System Reference: Kyloaln FH-U e3-7801 (first discovered by Big_Bad_Lynx)
Description: Small planetary nebula located between Sagittarius A* and Colonia, sitting at just 64 ly below the galactic plane and populated by a massive 2.13 solar masses Neutron Star with a Class III Gas Giant and a High Metal Content World orbiting around it, The nebula clouds paints the sky with its beautiful hues ranging from greenish blue to pink. Being the remnant of a massive star that most likely ended in a Type I Supernova. Now only the echoes of what once was remain, until the neutron star itself sheds whatever is left of its once glorious past.

System and Nebula not show on Galmap, not have POI.

Name: Bence Kocsis professor at Eotvos University in Hungary. He was a member of the IAS and an Einstein Fellow at Harvard University. Leading the GALNUC project funded by an ERC Starting Grant, studying gravitational wave astrophysics, astrophysical dynamics, dense star clusters, astrophysical general relativity, black holes, accretion disks, disk-satellite interactions, and statistical mechanics. He discover center of our Galaxy is teeming with black holes and detecting these highly compact objects with a form of a large gas cloud passing through the galactic center. This cloud encounters a black hole in its path, the hole will devour some of the material, releasing x rays in the process.

Proposed POI Name: Paradox Pandora
POI Type: Planetary Features
Ref. System: EOCH BLI LO-P D6-1857

This system have a very rare unusual orbit earth-like world. The planet orbits as a 4th moon of Y star as 8 D body. Main star is F star, but the distance is out of the Goldilock zone. Because of the heat of the Y star life can exist here. Planet gravity is more less then our Earth, and atmosphere have much more oxigen.
Name: Like in the movie Avatar; Pandora orbiting arround Purple Gas Giant, this planet is more special and exiting, and life there with many objects visible on the sky can be very interesting.

I think we might need some clarification on this one - is a TC WW moon of a non TC HMC really that unusual? (It could be, I have just never thought about it before...)

Proposed POI Name: Different Miracles
POI Type: Planetary Features
Ref. System: Juenae NY-Z d7982

This system is rare and unusual, have two earthlike world, one of them orbiting as a moon, but here is not the end of the list. The system have one terraformable waterworld and one ammonia world too. The system located under Sag A* only few jumps away. How many different lifeform can live in this only one system in. Many different miracle can happen around us.

Important Notice!

Since we will see the Q4 Update Beta soon, please be informed that the GMP will not accept submissions that are apparently "beta material". This will most likely include the all new kool space features, possible new megaships, deep space outposts, asteroid bases and other stuff that obviously wasn't there before.

And before anybody asks: No, we still don't take 'Green' system submisisons :D

Right on! May the winds be at our backs, Commanders

Hi guys,

I don't exactly know if this find is PoI-worthy but I thought it is an impressive location:

Proposed POI Name: Siamese Twins
POI Type: Planetary Features
Ref. System: Lysooh AQ-G d10-145
Discovered and submitted by CMDR Weylandt

The first two moons of the first gas giant in this system (itself a beauty) are extremely close together, about 2.0 Mm. Both are landable, and depending on the orbital constellations, this system can offer the opportunity for some impressive screenshots, especially with some close-by nebulae in the background. The system was first discovered by me on Nov. 1, 3304, according to both the game and EDSM.

The Carbon Fields

POI Type: Regional Feature
System ref.: Kyloall QC-V d2-1841 (Teshub, see below)

Description: The Carbon Fields are a stretch of space some 300 lights years across that contains no less than 38 carbon stars or their MS/S intermediate relatives. The stretch is located some 1,000 light years below the galactic plane but is easily accessible to common exploration ships. Most of these carbon stars have a size of about 30 solar radii, although there are also some larger variants, like the MS III class stars. Outstanding even in this interstellar environment is the system of Teshub (the reference system above), which holds two massive carbon stars dancing a dance around each other. Sadly, Teshub holds no landable planets so there is no way to witness this spectacle from a comfortable surface point. The system is named after the Hurrian god of the sky.

The screenshot below is from a different system, the small rocky world orbiting the star at a mere 150 ls.

Gamow Nebula

POI Type: Nebula
Body ref.: Phooe Aob AA-A h32
System ref.: Phooe Aob ST-Y d1-9

Description: The Gamow Nebula is a dark blueish emission nebula located high above the galactic plane (~1,000 ly). It is rimmed with a patch of thick and dark dust, presumably consisting of the compressed interstellar material after a supernova shockwave or similar event hit the area in the distant path. The stellar density is quite low at this galactic altitude, however there is a neutron star in range that may have been the cause of such a compression event. The Gamow Nebula is named after George Antonovich Gamow, a 20th century physicist and cosmologist, who worked extensively on the theories of star formation and stellar nucleosynthesis.

Name: The Blue Shepherd

Game map search ref: Dryi Ausms ZV-K d9-34

Description: On the LSE (Lightning Strike Expedition) I found a system which has a ringed earth-like world. Ringed earth-like worlds are rather sparse in the galaxy. But what makes this earth-like world truly rare is it's 4 orbiting moons. Dryi Ausms ZV-K d9-34 is located 1,572 Ly above the galactic plane and 4,537 Ly from Colonia. Because of the high star density in this region the system is easy to reach.

I was informed that it was fixed in beta too (((

New POI submission

System Name: BLAA PHOE NC-D D12-230
Proposed Map Name: Death Spiral

This system contains a Class V gas giant that orbits its white dwarf primary in only 15 minutes, and passes through the jet of the WD! Its orbital distance from the WD is 0.4 ls, so close that it cannot actually be reached using supercruise (the WD drops the ship out of SC about 2 ls out). There is also a nearby M V companion star a few ls away. As an aside, there is an unusually high number of Carbon Star systems around this location too.

The planet is so close to the WD that (a) it is within the WD's Roche Limit and should have been torn apart to form a ring system and (b) orbits faster than the WD's rotation period (which itself is only 16 minutes) and therefore is spiralling in to the WD anyway due to tidal forces. The system is also 7.8 billion years old - how the gas giant continues to survive, how it got into its current orbit around the WD, and how the WD and its planet both got so close to the M V star after the end of the WD's former red giant phase are all deep mysteries!

WHAAAAT?! Goddammit. One thing I was actually proud of finding in the game and they just take it away for no apparent reason? That utterly sucks :(

Have you got any confirmation that it's been "fixed"?

The beta notes so far don't mention it:

Stellar Forge Beta 1

Renamed "Pleiades Sector Ir-W D1-55" to "Delphi"
Fixed connection issues around "COL 285 SECTOR CV-Y D41 7 E"
Fixed typo in the LHS 3006 system description
Moved 2 moons in Kyloasly DA-A f69 slightly apart so that they no longer intersect
Fixed "Lucifers" orbital period
Fixed the star in the system "HD 168352" having a too small radius
Ensure I Bootis B and C are a contact binary again
Renamed some duplicate systems
Persistent POIs now consistent for different graphics card vendors

Stellar Forge Beta 2

Corrected Sednas position on it's orbit
Corrected the positions of the three ports around Earth
Fixed Moon GD 319 1 A intersecting ring of planet GD 319
Fixed some Class V gas giants being overly bright pink
