The Galactic Mapping Project & Historical Archive of Exploration

First entry: just a green system with all Jumponium mats close by the main star. It was fun to map.

Name:Crimson Depot
Game map search ref:Bleia Dryiae DP-S b51-10
Description:Green system with all jumponium materials available within 41ls of main star. A good waypoint between Amundsen Terminal/Observation Post Epsilon and Omega Mining Operation on the Colonia Highway.

Name: Cúpla Iontach (Gaelic: Remarkable Twins)

Game map search ref: Skaudai KI-C b58-1

Description: An otherwise unremarkable gas giant world with inner rocky ring and an outer icy ring. Two of the three moons orbit in the gap between the inner and outer rings.

I am CMDR McNicholl, an Elite Explorer and one of the founders of the MEC (Mobius Exploration Corps), currently engaged in the Skaudai Shakedown (mission to catalogue the Skaudai Nebula). There are currently 14 MEC CMDRs engaged in survey operations within the Nebula, and more inbound.

Name: Slashed Rings
System: HYPI BRA ZR-A D14-30
Description: The third gas giant's rings are hashed and farther away than average. THe rings are also aligned with the galaxy. The furthest moon makes for a good landing spot and observation of the giant's rings.

As per previous discussion, only real-life pulsar objects or those with PSR in the system name will be identified as pulsars; everything else is simply a neutron star. We can use "Peridot Nebula" as the name unless you have a different name you'd prefer to use.

"A pulsar (from pulse and -ar as in quasar)[1] is a highly magnetized, rotating neutron star or white dwarf, that emits a beam of electromagnetic radiation." (from the Wikipedia article https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pulsar ).

So since they all have jets coming from their poles, technically all the neutron stars in ED are pulsars. What's the rationale for claiming that they aren't?

ED has stars from specific catalogues that identify them as pulsars (the PSR stars and the named ones with 'pulsar'). Since there is no desire to have all neutron stars be pulsars (this does not match the real world), pulsars are restricted to those which are identified as such by system naming.

um... what? If those stats are from the game then they are very very broken. Temperatures of around a billion Kelvin would only be possible days after the neutron star formed - after about 1000 years it'd have a surface temperature of "only" a few million K. Despite that though since they're so small that their luminosities are tiny as well - most neutron stars would have luminosities only around a millionth that of Sol.

Hand-placed neutron stars in ED have surface tempatures from 72,736,336 K to 985,067,520 K. Procedural NS have temperatures from 925,827 K to 9,999,981 K. Like a number of other things in game, reality and ED do not match.

New try to contribute to GMP :

Name:Amethyst Giant
POI Type :Beacon/Stellar Feature
GalMap Search Ref:Byoomu AA-A h16
Description:Discovered during the Summer Great Expedition, this system weighs 170 solar masses. It is composed by one SuperGiant, one Wolf Rayet, and two O-types. On the screenshot the AspX is at equidistance from the Supergiant and the Wolf Rayet ; 4k sl !... Moreover the supergiant have a 461 solar radius

They also screwed up the neutron star luminosities, which is why planets that are over 2 AU from a neutron star are molten hellholes when they should be frozen solid.

Super-massive Ammonia World

Hi, this is my first submit for the GMP, please excuse my bad English language:

Name: Super-massive Ammonia World
Game map search ref: System "Myoangooe KF-D d13-13" planete 6 EDSM link
Description: An unusually massive ammonia world (above 208 earth mass) with a point of view to Winds of Enlil nebula
Type : ∅ - Planetary POI

Please submit a written description for this planetary nebula, including why you think it is unique/special enough to be included as a Point of Interest.

Hello,
Sorry for that, it's my first submit and sorry for my bad English.

Description : This planetary Nebula system have a neutron star, and 2 stars ( L star in orbit around a K star). 2 landables planet with a beautiful point of view of the 2 stars. (see the pic). Sorry I believed that EDSM make reference of all planetary nebula. My mistake.

Thank you

Name:Priapus' Heaven
POI Type :Planetary Feature
GalMap Search Ref:Agnaiz FR-V d2-1444
Description:System discovered during the Summer Great Expedition, on the road to Colonia (2500Ly from Colonia). This system is composed by a trinary of Earth Like World around a A-type star, even if the atmosphere is quit different from the Earth they have approximately the mass and gravity of it. The fact that it's a trinary configuration allow a great use for the humankind around Colonia and for the science. Furthermore the system is also composed of 4 terraformable HMC which makes it a great system for credit : 5,3 Million !
