There appears to be some issue with using img tags and imgur. If you take a look at other threads, you'll notice that the images are missing there too. In the meantime, you might just want to post links to the images.

Are we still caring about adding Supernova Remnant nebulae? This one isn't actually a new one (It was first discovered by EXIL, though apparently when I first visited it a year ago I discovered 9 of the HMC's 18 moons!) but it's not on the 3D map in EDDiscovery so I presume that nobody's submitted it? Assuming nobody minds I'd like to submit it for addition here: (oddly enough the EDSM.net entry for the system only has the neutron star and HMC listed there)

Name: Pharona Nebula
System: EOCH PRUAE HC-U E3-4418

Description: A red-green Supernova Remnant containing a neutron star without planets and an F V companion with a system of landable bodies at around 4300 ls away, both orbited by a gas giant and a large HMC with 18 moons.

This is the view from a nearby system with a waterworld over the nebula:

Another view from when I first visited the nebula last year (again from a nearby system outside it):

I just came across another one nearby! Again this was previously discovered (by HAVNAREK) but isn't on the EDSM 3d map.

Name: Kytheros Nebula
System: EOCH PRUAE KN-S E4-3497

Description: This is a blue-green cross-shaped Supernova Remnant containing a neutron star with a planetary system (seen here from a nearby system). Interestingly there is a solo F star (with no planets) only 0.34 ly away from the nebula - pretty much as close as one can be without being inside it!

The system inside the nebula is fairly unremarkable, but does contain a lava world with a large ring system and nearby moon:

Like buses, it seems nebulae all come at once! This one was first discovered by BIG_BAD_LYNX and is also not on the EDDiscovery 3D map.

Name: Blue Mite Nebula
System: Ogaicy TT-R E4-1619

This is a blue two-lobed Supernova Remnant nebula containing a neutron star and an unremarkable system, located about 600 ly above the southern edge of the Far 3kpc Arm not too far from Colonia. However, one of the systems nearby contains something of interest:

Name: Ringhugger Moon
System: Ogaicy UP-T C18-158 7a

Ogaicy UP-T C18-158 7a is a sizeable moon whose surface is only 300km from its primary gas giant's ring system! The ring shouldn't be remotely stable with a moon this close to it, and yet here it is. It also has a nice view of the Ogaicy TT-R E4-1619 (Blue Mite) Nebula, as shown in the previous pic.

Name: "Ogaicy MdlM"
System: OGAICY ZV-K D9-1050 A1

Full name is "Ogaicy Monde de la Mort", shortened to "Ogaicy MdlM" to avoid confusion. Like the original MdlM, this world is on a highly eccentric orbit (0.956 eccentricity, semimajor axis: 598626 km) that takes it from a distant 1,170,913 km to a screamingly close 26,340 km from its white dwarf primary over the course of 3.28 hours (not quite as close as the 18,366 km periapsis of MdlM though). However, unlike the original MdlM, this is an HMC lava world that is impossible to land on, so it can't be safely 'followed in' around its orbit. Still, it shows the MdlM orbital configuration isn't unique!

Eccentric orbit is shown here:

Name: "Where Silence has a Lease"
System: PUWHIO CH-S B31-0 4A

At first glance this solitary moon orbiting a ringed gas giant, located in the Abyss between the Sagittarius-Carina Arm and the The Galactic Apehelion, looks unremarkable. However, upon approach you will soon find yourself with a sense of dread and an uneasy feeling that something just is not right. Once on the surface you may experience unexplained electrical failures and malfunctions. Even on the day side the landscape is foreboding and eerie, with deep canyons and impassable high walls, combined with an unmistakable sinister presence, and the feeling of being watched, it is truly a terrifying place to be.

If you find yourself nearby, you are advised to pass through this system without delay. But if curiosity gets the best of you, it is recommended that you do not land on 4A alone--at the very least, let someone know where you're at first. There is something unnatural here it is appears to not like company. Visit at your own risk..

Clever pirate!

Question

I know that this is probably not the place for witch this to go but while I was just looking at the galaxy map I saw this long band of red dwarf stars in the NGC area specifically what drew my attention was the nebula, and with what is happening currently in Elite I was wondering if there was anything of interest in the stars nearest to the nebula because the more I look at it the more I get the thargoid feeling because of the similar colors to the warp out effect that they leave behind?[alien]

It is because those are real stars that have been imported through a catalog through the game.
The game has to procedurally generate a LOT of stars that are too faint, currently uncharted, or simply not visible, which means the differences are pretty striking.
