The Great ELW Fishing Expedition

You want to talk about it?
Nah....I'm working through it...** grins **

** EDIT ** Knew I was getting close to my initial sample number for this latest cube...have actually searched 1323 systems and found 33 so far..making it the best high system count cube I have found yet at 1 in 40.09...

Just yesterday I arrived back in my search sector. It is the - seemingly highly unspectular - sector Bloomee (the brighter lines in the map are mostly my earlier travels in that area), laying around 3,5k lys west of Sag A*. Despite sitting pretty close to the main highway between Colonia and Sag A*, the sector is not much explored, more like a transit sector. And somewhere there, a 50 ly sphere is slowly gonna pop up on that sector's "heatmap" pretty soon...

Well, my first submission for the Expedition is actually not found in Bloomee, but shortly before arrival there

All updated...I gotta get to hunting...I just got passed....
No need to worry, in a few days I will be on a break for about a week - and today I found a total of 0 in 100 systems.
At least I managed to find some valuable bio data - had to divert to a B-boxel because there are hardly any bio signals in "my" ELW hunting boxel...

My hit rate in my Bloomee search sphere (50 ly radius around a Wolf-Rayet as center) so far is 0 in 83 systems... But on the other hand, I often hit Water Worlds here, so I think it will just be a matter of time until I get the ELWs here too :)

BTW: If someone is searching in the West of Sag A*, my FC MCFC Wuhu Island (K4N-65L) is stationed at Bloomeau NV-T b21-2. If you need to repair, or want to hand in some data to UC there, you could pay a visit to it too:)

Your first entry is a pretty safe bet to win "longest orbital period"...out of all the ones I have found in 6 years...I only have one that comes close, but still falls 2000 days short..

Thank you for reminding me of this. :) After looking over the discovery list, those 14,649 days are a huge statement for the category and already a very hard challenge to beat, or even a category winner.:) I saw that it is a personal record for me too (the "second best" in my personal list from almost 3 years falls short by almost 10,000 days). :)

Maybe I find one that even beats this one - Neutron Stars and Co. are always good for surprises. The hunt continues this evening :)

My 200th ELW that I first reported to EDSM (but about a dozen or more of those had already been tagged by somebody else that was not linked to EDSM)
