Updated the section on which star you jump in to a system closest to based on info from Quineloe, AH_ImADot, Panzerbeard and others; thanks guys.
Personally when it comes to trading, I've always been prepared to sell my goods at a less than expected profit rather than keep hauling the same stuff around in search of a better profit, what you want really is a high profit-jump ratio. This is especially true if I land at a station with goods and find the profit on those goods is low but the station is selling something I'd much rather fill my hold with.
