Well I never, it feels like you have to hold it down. Ill make sure I mention that in the comments lol Cheers man! I wonder what my next bounty hunting ship should be after the Viper?

Cobra could be worth considering. It has great speed, decent shields, hull strength and hardpoints, and experienced commanders can make them dance almost as well as a Viper. From your video, it looks like you're using mouse and keyboard, though, so the "dancing" part may be quite a bit more difficult for you.

Or you could actually stick with a Viper until you can afford a Vulture. And some people don't even go that far and just fly a Viper their entire careers.

While I love the Cobra, it's not a bounty hunting upgrade to the Viper. It's more of a multipurpose cousin to the combat-oriented Viper. OP, for a purely bounty hunting ship that's an upgrade to the Viper, I'd probably look at the DBS or the more expensive Vulture.

Yeah, I can agree with that. But seeing as the OP seems to be using mouse and keyboard, maneuverability a bit more difficult, meaning he can't really take full advantage of the Viper's agility. I'd say he'd benefit from some extra beefiness the Cobra provides.

I've come to he conclusion he was just better. I do still have questions. What exactly the difference between the classes and ratings? Does the mass of either ship factor? How much does speed factor? I wish the mechanics were a little more transparent. I find the more you understand a game mechanic the easier it is to master it.

Submit... Wake out... Drop... Select new target location if the pirate drops into your instance boost out immediately and keep an eye on your radar ensuring he does not get behind you... Reselect original location

I have no idea how interdiction works either. One of these days we might get a decent manual for the game that has all of this stuff in it. Same as I am not entirely sure how to get wingmen either. We do need more information on these things from Frontier.

Interdiction

What is going on with interdiction? An NC type 9 can now out manoeuvre me when I interdict them and can turn what looks like 90 degree turns?!

Yep its crazy, someone leant a little too hard on the 0 key when they altered the NPC figures.

I can't evade a Mostly Harmless DBE in an A rated Imperial Eagle.

I missed my first interdiction today, a Python got away from me in my Vulture, first time anyone has. Tried the same ship again, but got closer and came in faster and it was much easier and I got him. Maybe they changed the mechanics in the update.

Well... boohoo? Learn to interdict :p

But more serious, a bit overshot some variable setting somewhere, mayhap. Or you should stop trying to interdict big fish with a shoddy squirt - size does matter - be it you, your interdictor, or your target, or all of those variables and then some.

Just to add my recent experience: I'm flying a Python with a 4D interdictor and failed in my interdiction attempt on a Type 6.

Well, T6 is more nimble than Python...

The far how I see the interdictions, they behave in less broken manner than before.

the higher the rank your trying to interdict the harder it is , you real,y have to learn to do these things on your own
it's no good keep crying to fd that things are too hard for you , some of us like challenges and can work things out

I am not interdicting, I was interdicted.

But whats the point of keeping your ship constantly in the escape vector and still getting thrown out of SC?

Indeed. It's pretty bad form of "balancing" to balance things around the "lowest denominator" (aka, "average lazy gamer"). Things in games like ED oughta take skill to perform.
