For me its a cake, and one that I miss as they dont sell them in Sweden, however I do stock up on when I pop over to Blighty :D

It's a cake, because it dries as it ages.

A biscuit goes soft as it ages.

Reading up on this, I see that the UK considers cake to be an essential commodity and therefore, tax exempt. I like this view.

We pay tax on cake or any other prepared food here. Even cake mixes.

It's a cake, clearly. It says so on the cover and size doesn't matter, does it?

If it were EU tax regulations, though, they would create a generic complex term which would only match the cookie in question, and everything would be fine and no questions asked :D

Tax is good for everyone, mind you.
