My old Saitek cyborg got left behind last move so after research I got the thrustmaster T1600m after struggling with mouse and keyboard, am extremely happy with it, good weight, good amount of buttons for config, not looked back at keyboard and mouse since.

Hey there guys, I can't for the life of me, figure out how to yaw right & left. I'm using the x52 PRO. Thanks

Hi there, Drvillain
By default, you twist the stick left and right for yaw, but you might want to check your control options (accessible under "Options" from either Main menu or Pause menu, then "Controls")
Have fun & hope this helps
EDIT: Ninja'd, sorry to repeat...

Joystick!

So, for the first time i actually considering buying joystick to my PC, and now the question.

Any have a good one at a fair price, since its gonna be this game only its gonna be used to..

Also, no idea if right subforum, so sorry in advance..

Fly safe!

Thrustmaster Hotas-X is a great price for a throttle and stick. £30
Only downside is the joystick has a bit of a deadband in the middle, so may no be the best for combat.

Other choice is a Thrustmaster T16000m. Very very precise, loads of buttons, can be programmed £30
The throttle is just a small slider.

Actually I have both! I use the throttle from the Hotas-X and the T16000m (the joystick from the Hotas-X is hidden behind the monitor)
They work very well together.

Also, get a copy of voice commander $8, and control extra functions with speech commands.

Its really your personal preference. I use a Games Power HOTAS, keyboard and mouse. Any joystick would do, but I find the throttle most useful, as I can assign the power attributes to it as well. You can get a decent HOTAS off ebay for about £30-40.

I'm still experimenting with control systems. I think my age is affecting my accuracy with anything, I mean anything at all. I have to wipe the floor in the toilet after I've been these days ;)

I tried kb/m and found that was pretty bad.

Tried my HOTAS - not bad, but very 'twitchy' for fine aim when you're trying to stay on someone's tail.

360 pad was very average.

Hori PS3 Assault pad is better than the 360 pad, because it has long thumbsticks you can add to it for better fine control and I like the shape of it.

PS4 pad is better than 360 pad and feels nice to hold (I have huge hands) but lacks fine control.

On all 3 pads I struggle with where to put roll and yaw. Swapping them back and forth and usually settling on Yaw left, Roll right stick. The throttle on the left stick is irritating though.

I still have a few things left to experiment with, (VenomX, Nostromo, etc.) but will probably end up back on the HOTAS the way things are going and just have to persuade my elephant-sized fingers to move a little slower.

Voice cammander? Okay... That is getting intressting :D

where can i find that btw

And thanxs!

I use Voice attack all the time and have various commands from "Open Map", "Deploy Guns" to "Request Docking" , saves a lot of button pushing.
.
Do forum Search on Voice Attack there are numerous threads with hints and command examples.

HOTAS Thrustmaster T-Flight Hotas X Joystick Bug

Noticed this last night twice
.
Upon logging in and running the game, the toggle screen (left centre and right) button only toggles between left and centre, this is pretty bizarre and fixed by logging out and restarting the launcher, but should it happen at all?
.
Does any one else experience this?

I’ve had bugs with this too. My Hat will sometimes stop working meaning I can’t adjust power distribution, and the left hand rocker (the same one your’e using I think) stopped working my lateral thrusters for a while. Then started again.

I've not seen either issue mentioned, but maybe make sure that bindings don't overlap for functional binding groups?
I'm sorry I don't know what you mean...
My set up on those controls is:
In flight my "rocker" on the left hand throttle control is for lateral thrusters. My Hat is powerplant management.
When docking my Hat changes to lateral thrusts and "burst" thrust forwards/backwards.
