I am using the same as you , the Logitech Extreme 3D. At first I was looking at the controllers everybody was talking about and I thought I was going to be stuck with mouse/keyboard or maybe configuring a gamepad or something to play... and then I saw the Extreme 3D at best buy for like $30. I was totally skeptical that it would be any good for so cheap compared to the controllers everybody was discussing on the forums... but it is great I love it. I'm sure there are a lot more bells and whistles on the expensive controllers... they are probably more precise, etc... but for the price you just can't beat it.

I do have an old (yet great) Logitech Flightstick Pro laying around I used in SWG's Jump to Lightspeed, yet. ...currently? I'm more than content with the 360 Controller (which is neat ..as far as joypads go )

Orinally mouse+keyboard, which I might say works flawless, but now I'm using my brand new x-55.

CH Fighter Stick (upgraded from Logitech Extreme 3D Pro, don't miss twist yaw yet and its been 2 months). Amazing piece of kit! I use that + KB, works amazingly well! Though I don't do much FA-Off flight where I've heard an HOTAS throttle reigns supreme. I don't feel too worried though!

Tried my Thrustmaster HOTAS but found my G700 mouse and keys works better. The main thing is to be able to be hands on in combat, and the G700 gives me enough buttons to do that.

I had a 3d pro but upgraded to a x52 pro and It was the best thing I have done periferal wise for ages.
