I'm quite impressed with the height these lava spouts can reach in Odyssey, I don't recall seeing them so high in Horizons.

And to all inquiring minds, yes, yes I did, in scenes reminiscent of many great movies.

Like Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom where they lowered the caged man into lava, or for SciFi aficionados, Terminator 2 when the liquid metal terminator was propelled into the vat of molten steel, or for lovers of fantasy imagine Gollum plunging towards the lava lake of Mount Doom muttering my precious.....no it did not go well!

I tried dipping my dolphin in it to see if it would overheat it... There was an unusual side effect of doing this:

Somewhere out there, there

are two earth-likes orbiting each other and it was a pleasure to see them, wishing I could land.

Suspecting the garish colours would scare the living daylights out of any conscious life form on the planets though.

People who know me, know that I have a long bucket list of things I want to find (no, someone else discovering it holds zero meaning for me. It has to be something I found) and one of them is a landable planet near a white dwarf that's also in close proximity to a star.

Well I got that today finally.

At 19ls away it's not the absolute best, I'll want to find more like it but it IT IS something on my personal list. Still a planet 19ls away from a white dwarf orbiting hyper close to a K class star, with two more stars in the system not that far away isn't a half bad find. It's a shame it's almost 3g's. No way i'm landing.

*edit can't attach image for some reason.

I'm new to the forums and enjoyed this thread immensely. I started out playing ED when it was free on Epic in a way to relive my C64/Amiga years with the original game. I came for the ship to ship combat but stayed for the exploration. Here are a selection of my favourite images from my travels. All images are originals reduced in size.
