So I was watching the Orca with the free cam and found some

Exhaust vents. Alright yeah, this does make sense. Didnt spot that on any other ship yet.

Wait air intakes? In space? What.. I am confused.
(Also you can see through the bottom intakes, FDev pls fix)

I dont quite understand what thruster vents are, but the problem is. These air intakes are (the bottom ones) facing forwards, so it cant release heat because well, you'd be releasing alot of heat into your ship.

Remember Interstellar? "to move forward you need to leave something behind"
That's what thrusters do.
And to stop the ship you have forward thrusters that throw things forward

Try backing up your ship...

Try throttling up/down while in the external cam and you can often see what all the various vents do...

Yes, that's true. The Orcas forward thrusters are placed on the wings

If the bottom vents would be infact thrusters, they would melt the hull. So that cant be it.

Remeber these ships can go underwater ? I wonder if that has anything to do with this.

The beluga has them on the bottom too.

Thats why they are named after sea animals

"Intake" ones on the front might be for taking in water for coolant. Might also be why the saud kruger ships usually have bad heat.

Saud Kruger' ship names, shape, and history seem to suggest that they are submersible.
